Toilet Training - poo Rss

My daughter is 2.5 and is completely toilet trained during the day ( inc. day sleep) for doing wee however no matter what my husband and I do, she will not do a poo on the toilet and always asks for a nappy. We have tried incentives, saying there are no nappies, we only have night nappies, new toys in the cupboard (she has seen them there waiting), BUT nothing works. Are there any ideas to help us??
Have you heard of this method?:

For 1 week allow her to poo in the nappy when she asks for one.

Next week allow her to have the nappy but tell her she must use it in the toilet room/bathroom.

Next week allow her to have a nappy and tell her she must sit on the toilet wearing the nappy and poo.

Next week is to give her a nappy with a hole cut out so the poo goes into the toilet.

The desired outcome is she will without the nappy.

Other ideas:
If the 'plop' sound scares her then lined the toilet water with a wad of paper.

Some toddlers think poo is a part of themselves and pooing in to toilet is therefore scary. So lots of reassurance and talking about how its safe for the poo to go into toilet and she will still be the same after she has done it.
my son is the exact same age and he is doing the exact same thing so your not alone!! bhbmumma your comment was very helpful to me im deffinately going to try this method!!

Thanks will try and get back to everyone in a few weeks.
Thanks again.
My son who is 3 1/2 has the same problem and will hold in the poo rather than let it go.I was told by the paediatrician that eventually they work it out for themselves but just to keep encouraging and asking if they would like to use the potty or toilet.Sometimes kids are frightened of letting the poo out. Also its ok to let them go in the nappy if thats what makes her comfortable. At least shes weeing no problem so thats part of it over with. She might surprise you one day and just go but try not to stress about it cause they all get their eventually. My son would rather use his pull up to go at the moment and this is such a common problem.Good luck
no help here but maybe hide the nappies or put them on when she is askeep, poos have been easier to TT with both my kids rather than wees as I started putting them on the toilet early, 12months for DD1 as she got severly constipated and you could see her pushing for about half an hour with a nappy and eaier for her on the toilet, Ds from a bit before 18months, was harder to catch him poo, now he does them all on yhe toilet. Does she do them at bed time or anytime of the day?
