How do I teach my 3 yr old to wipe herself?

I feel stupid asking this, but I really don't want to get it wrong. She starts Kindy in a month and I think she needs it sorted by then.

Do I teach her to wipe reaching around the back? Or lifting a leg and from the side? Folded paper or scrunched?

I have visions of poo everywhere and paper blocking the toliet.

I tought my DD to fold the paper and fold over after each wipe until the paper was clean. I also made sure she wiped from the front to the back so no cross infection! She is now 5 1/2 and occasionally gets a bit red down there but I think that's just cause she's too busy trying to rush back to playing without wiping properly!

discovered a problem,

there isn't enough room for her to get her hand around the back coz we have one of those toddler seats on the toilet. She can reach between her legs to wipe her front thou.

remove the seat? but then she won't be able to sit and wipe?
