Going backwards, need help! Rss

Hello ladies,
I need some help, my son is just over two and has been showing an interested in toilet training since 14 months. I put it off until 18 months where I found he wouldn't sit on the potty and would only go on the toilet with a training seat. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until he decided he would rather go on the floor. He now doesn't tell me when he needs to go and if I put him on the toilet he just cries and screams to get off and wear a nappy.
I'm about to have my second child and was hoping he would at least be day trained before I gave birth. That is now out of the picture has I only have 4 weeks to go. But I would love to get him back on track to going to the toilet. Can anyone help me out with some suggestions of how I can go about this? Please I'm going crazy with him going on the floor.
Im having a similar problem with my 2yr old. I started TT a week a go and he was doing so well the first week (using a potty). This week i tried him on the toilet with a training seat, he was good for the first day but after that he kicks up a fuss when im trying to get him to sit on it. He is still telling me when he needs to go but refuses to go to the toilet without a fight.

Ive ended up going back to the potty and he is a little better. The most helpful thing ive found is distraction, as soon as he is sitting on the potty i give him a toy car to play with and he's quite happy to sit there and ends up doing his business quite quickly.

Try distraction with a toy or special story that he only gets when sitting on the toilet. I also give a little reward - a smartie for a wee and a sticker on a chart for a poo, if he gets a sticker every day for a week i'll buy him a new Hot Wheels car.
Thanks for the advice ladies. I've been telling him its toilet time and let him pick a book out for me to read to him while he is on the toilet. It seems to be working by keeping him on the toilet and not crying out for nappy. So I think just one step at a time.
