Anyone got tips for importing a stroller? Rss

I am interested in the Bugaboo Donkey stroller which is not yet available in New Zealand. Does anyone have any advice on:

a ) What countries to buy from for best dollar conversion
b ) What Bugaboo retailer to buy from that are reliable and/or have discounts
c ) Whether shipping forwarding companies are a good idea
d ) How to reduce postage, duty, and tax costs

At the moment I am weighing up between aus and the states. The ones in the states are a bit cheaper to buy, but may end up more expensive because of shipping.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

Thanks all
Not sure what the AUS and US dollar is with NZ at the moment, though things are cheaper in the US you'll probably be paying more for shipping.

Probably aim for Australia and go for the big online baby pram companies eg. Babies Direct, Baby Shop Direct, or if you have David Jones they stock Bugaboo, they can arrange to have the pram delivered from Australia. The best thing about DJ's is that they match prices (so if you find it cheaper online (providing its not an internet only store)) DJs will match it.

I bought everything from DJs and thankfully I had this sales assistant that forget to charge me for delivery (even though the quotes were not in my state) so I got everything cheaper than expected.

Goodluck shopping.
