Pram for 2 Rss

Hi,
So we thought we were really smart buying our baby jogger city elite after doing all our research, good sun canopy, easy to fold, great sturdy wheels, really easy to push on any surface (we don't have footpaths in our area and the roads aren't fantastic) and it has the option to add a toddler seat for baby no.2. Now I'm not pregnant again, but we've talked about it, and I have found the toddler seat has been recalled and cannot be purchased any more, so now we have this great expensive pram which I will not be able to use.

So far with all the double prams it seems you have to either put up with a heavy toddler at the front for tandem, a really wide pram if it's side by side, and my husband and I don't like those prams where the toddler sits underneath. And no pram seems to have good strong wheels like the one we have.

Can anyone tell me what they use for toddler and baby and what's good/ bad about it, bearing in mind that we don't have footpaths so the wheels need to be sturdy as the road surfaces are not great.

Thanks to anyone who can help.
how old is your toddler?

I can only tell you that I have a two year old and a six month old, I also have no footpaths and live in a hilly area. We go for a walk everyday and I have had no problems with my pram. It is the Valco doubletake vee bee pram from Big W $300, never had any problems with the wheels or anything else:) I am alone with the two kids alot cause my husband works long hours, so when I go to the shops and take it out of the boot it is a bit heavy, took me a few goes to get use to folding it and packing it away but now I am fine with it! It also has a large basket area underneath only con is the handle is round so you can't hang shopping bags on the side of it but I fit two green bags full of groceries, and my baby bag in the basket+more and hang my handbag around the handle!
A skateboard could be an option if your toddler is old enough.
If all goes accordingly, toddler will be 20 months.
I also used the Valco Doubletake Tandem Stroller, and can definitely recommend it smile Ds1 was 18 months old when DS2 was born, and it lasted us really well. It is relatively light (12kg) for a double pram, and folds up fairly compact too. Better than our old single pram in fact lol.
