Sippy cup recommendations - weaning from bottle Rss

I am trying to get DD off the bottle but am finding it hard to find a sippy cup she'll drink milk out of. Does anyone have any recommendations? She hates those ones where you have to bite the spout to get anything out as she can't work them out!! Any help would be appreciate. Thanks heaps.

I just use the take n toss sippy cups. You get about 5 cups and lids for around $8-10. They just have a normal plastic teat not the soft ones. smile

Yeah they do leak but the new ones come with a click on lid for transport so you can chuck it in your bag and it doesn't leak everywhere smile. Also I got my DD1 to drink out of a normal pop top water bottle. Made it easy if we were out and forgot water as she could just drink from a normal bottle.

Ugh, i have the same problem!! I think i have at least one of every brand and she can drink from a normal straw but not the ones that you have to bite she just gets frustrated and refuses to drink anything at all!! We have been trying to use a cup and she drinks from it but usually tips it as she is used to being able to tip her bottle! Maybe i should try the take and toss ones although if she realises they leak she will prob hold it upside down to watch it come out sad

Hi Layla smile
My little boy has just turned 1yr old and he is still havine 3 bottles a day. I tried only yesterday to give him his milk out of a cup. The only cup i have found to work is called a stackable steadycup. Can get them at Big W but I ordered mine on the internet from steadyco.com.au. I got three cups for about $10.95 + postage. They are great.
Hope this helps.

I have no advice unfortuanlty as im currently trying to ween my DS 19 months off the bottle and still can't find a sippy cup that he will take milk from! =S Good Luck

Thanks everyone. I'm trying the Take and Toss ones and DD seems to be okay with them. Sometimes she won't drink out of them, usually at night when I think she's looking for the comfort of the bottle before going to bed. I will persist! Thanks heaps for your suggestions. I see that Aldi have transition sippy cups on sale from tomorrow but it looks like they're the ones that you have to bite and suck as they say they are "no spill".

Im on the search for the Playtex brand sippy cups, i had them for DS1 and DS2 and they were great I still have one here and DS3 can drink out of it easily and it has never leaked, but I cant find them in stores now, has anyone seen them?
here the link if you want to check them out,

I'm pretty sure I saw them in target with the disney designs on them. I think cars and disney princess. Have you tried ebay?

Thanks I'll have another look at target, I tried Ebay and can't get them from Aus but can from US or UK,

Hi, I am having the same problem with my 15mth old who still has 2 bottles of milk per day and absolutely cracks it if I offer a sippy cup!!
I bought the tommee tippe soft spout one and she hates it, but will drink water out of it.....typical smile

Anyway my 2yo was much easier to get off the bottle and she had one from Mothercare, next time I go to the shops I am going to buy one and persevere with this very stubborn little girl!!!
