Before I was a Mum.... Rss

I worked in retail

I was groomed ba ha ha nails, hair, expensive clothes, it was all about me, spent all my time with dp and my friends

I thought it was basically like a huggies ad....looked so beautiful and such a happy time and soo loving never thought of the down sides lol

Reality dd1 dream baby dd2 omg opposite little turd at times and ds such a loving happy giggly little boy his my huggies ad baby lol
I don't miss the clothes the hair nothing I love being mum I cried every time my children have said mum for the first time.
I had a rude shock with dd2 she is a challenge at times but love her dearly.
Honestly I never felt the love before that I feel for my kids it's not the same love I have for dp it's different and I am grateful everyday that I have got to experience this.
I worked as a Cook in an aged care respite Center.

Used to spend my time doing lots of gardening with my husband, going to the markets, SLEEPING IN, weekends away, boozy BBQs and the best of al SEX whenever you wanted it!!!

I thought parenthood would be a lot easier and kids would just play and be happy not bugging you every moment of the day. Wouldnt change it for the world though.
before i had kids well 13yrs ago lets see, in last ten just with one child i worked my butt off & raising him on my own

before i fall pregnant with casey 5 months i worked in retail . 1st holiday in 13 years and i got pregnant

i used have small business with my ex husband used run that.

spare time hmmmm used do lots of reading , watch movies, was young out having fun.

motherhood is what i thought, i look at my both my boys and is so grateful
they are my boys ,

im truly blessed to their mummy every day
I was a wedding planner and used to work 60 hour weeks.

During my time off I used catch up with friends for cocktails, have massages, get my nails done, and sleep in a lot.

I thought parenthood wouldn't change me, that a child would fit into my life, not the other way around. HA HA HA HA

I was delusional.

I worked at a supermarket, was bakery manager and cigarette kiosk manager. I got a new job for Goodman and Fielder (bakery Rep) but found out i was pregnant before i started, so had to ring them and say "thanks but no thanks" ...i really wanted that job too!!

My free time was spent, hanging out with friends, shopping, camping ect.

Motherhood was exactly what i thought it would be....after the first month anyway LOL But i wouldnt change it for anything, being a mum to Oakley is way better than working at coles LOL!!

Ok. I started this thread so we could get to know each other and ourselves better.

Remember those days before you were a mum...

What was your occupation?
How did you spend your free time?
What did you think parenthood would be like?

etc etc.....

I cant remember that was 10 years ago! haha.. I was a nanny for a lawyer for her twin 4 year old son's.
Free time?? Hmmm clubbing and hanging with friends.. I was young then and full of myself.. haha
Alas since have had to grow up!

I worked for a telecommunications company, ringing people and tried getting donations for you endangered animals. Was actually an awesome job.

I spent most of time time with DF. We would drink LOTS, go to parties. Stay in bed alllll day. We were young people in love with no commitments really.

Parenthood i knew would be demanding. Couldn't wait to become a mum. It still is a little surreal!!

I worked and will return to work with an Audio Visual company (We are on undercover boss next MON 10th of October) I started out as a technician and then moved into management.

I spent most free evenings going out to gigs, making things or on date nights with my DP.

I thought that Bubs would be hard work but I didn't even consider that I may not be well and have to be looking after the both of us. He brings me more joy everyday than all of the above "old me".
