What would YOU do?

I just read this on another forum I visit sometimes, and it got me thinking. I can't honestly say what I would do in this situation, although I have been cheated on and I did leave straight away.

The wife went away for 3 days with the child, leaving the husband at home (he had to work). She came home and was changing the sheets on the bed and she found a used condom in the bed. The husband's reaction was "How did that get in there?" and she naturally lept to the conclusion that he was cheating, but he swears black and blue that he isn't. The only other explanation is that their flatmate was doing it in their bed with one of his gay lovers. The flatmate has not been seen or heard from since the condom was found, and the husband is still denying he is cheating.

So what would you think had happened? And how would you react?

No idea.

If it were my husband and i knew he wasnt talking to anyone else, id probably believe him.

HOWEVER that would only have been BEFORE he cheated on me.

Right now if it happened, id leave his sorry ass like i should have 6 months ago when he cheated.

I have obviously stayed with him after he cheated, and believe me i make him pay for his fk up and i honestly believe he wouldnt do it again... he'd be too scared to! lol! BUT if he DID cheat again, his as$ would be out!

I would ask the flatmate what was going on.
I would explain that it would be better for him to admit sleeping in their bed than for her to leave her husband, or ask if anyone had been around in the last few days.

I would be after the flatmate, the fact that said flatmate has gone to ground since the incident to me personally is an indicator of guilt.

Lol after that it would be lie detector tests!!!

The flatmate has not been home and is not answering his phone. The husband says the flatmate had 2 people over during that 3 days, but nobody can find him to ask him what the story is. IMO its one of 3 things:

1. The husband is cheating and the flatmate knows it, but doesn't want to be in the middle of a domestic
2. The flatmate knows and is being blackmailed by the husband
3. The flatmate and the husband had a little "fun" of their own.

Jax I considered the flatmate as a suspect for all of about 5 seconds lol. He lives there, he would have a bed there, so why get freaky in theirs?

I don't know what I would do.. But wouldn't the husband be a bit more careful if he was cheating?? You would think he would take extra care of getting rid of a stray condom. Unless his lover wanted him to get caught out, and planted it. Tough situation.
