Save Our Sleep Rss

Hey,

Got this book today - LOVE IT!! Wish I had got it before bubs was born. I've learnt so much reading it today! Just couldn't put it down (well unless bub made me! lol)

Just wondering if anyone (I'm sure someone has) has read it and followed her routines with success?? Or did it not work for you and your bub?

I'm going to start first thing in the morning!! Wish me luck

Love Kyz
Do what works for you! I did not follow it to a 'T'.

There are sections of the book I disagree with, however some of the routines are good. I skipped bits I was not comfortable with and used it as a resource and guide.

good luck!
i have that book and after reading half of it realised DS had fallen into a routine very similar to what Tizzie suggests. unfortunately im not allowed to put DS on a 4hourly routine because my supply isn't very good at all. i need to have him sucking at least once every 2 hours to keep my supply hanging around.
the book does provide a good source of encouragement for me and DS, and she reinforces that crying is ok!! which is often hard to believe as a first time mummy. im hoping once DS is on solids, maybe one day my supply will decide to stick around and not deminish as soon as DS is on 24hour routine, then it would be nice to work to Tizzie's routine as it worked for a couple days befor ei had to change for my supply hehe.

i know 3 people who swear by it though!
read it, followed it, loved it. used it with both kids.
well we started today. Were off to a brilliant start this morning, she cried for about 6 minutes and fell asleep, that was at 8:15. we had to go to the doctors at 10 so there went that feed time so she slept until 11. We were a bit out but we followed it well until about 3 this afternoon. I think that's a good enough start for her! We'll keep persisting. She has already been good at night. I think the times and amounts to express are really helpful for me because my midwife told me to 'express the foremilk' but I was a little confused about how often to do it etc. Been following Tizzie's advice today, and as I said, I think we are doing well!
I haven't read the book at all but would love to know why crying is ok when it introduces unhappy hormones into your baby.... why does he need to cry if you can help it...

i am not saying my baby doesn't cry but we try and stop it from happening and he is a happy content baby that hardly cries at all and can play and move across the floor.... i follow his cues before he cries to help with his routine.
