Does Dad get involved in Baby bath time? Rss

My partner will bath bub if he is at home - he'll undress and bath him but leaves the drying and fresh clothes to me !

when Heaven said there were boys ... I asked for 2

weekends daddy baths my daughter. he works long hours and isnt home to bath her of an afternoon so weekends are his special bonding time with baths. he does a great job too! i still remember teaching him how to bath heidi as a newborn. oh so cute haha

Heidi 3 years & Annika 4 days

my hubby does all the baths for our daughter, and they both love it! I dry and dress her afterwards. They are very cute together while she's having her bath, it's their bonding time together.

KR, sorry to hear that your partner hasn't once bathed your daughter. I think thats pretty sad (& slack), hopefully he makes up on this quality bonding time with her &/or helps you in some other way. My partner mostly baths our baby. Hubby works long hours and hasn't got much time with bubs before bedtime, so bathtime is especially important for them both, just to catch up. and BONUS, gives me the time to start dinner or just chill.

Will not bath children, but will put them in the shower with him.
My DP baths both the little ones every night so I can get dinner cooked.

My DP baths our boy most nights, sometimes he has to work back late, but if he is at home he will share that time with DS. He also dries and dresses him, some days take longer than others but he is getting the hang of it. I agree that it is good bonding time for them with dad being at work all day.

DH used to always do it of a weekend with DS (due to work)
Now he will bath him once a weekend if I suggest it.
DH never bathes DD, he feels too uncomfortable cleaning her girly bits.

my partner has not bathed lil chelsea by himself but he has helped getting towels, clothes, nappy ready for me after the bath and has watched her while i go to the toilet and clean up chelsea's mess after dinner time.

Kerri - 22yrs old, Chelsea 20 months old

my hubby loves bathing the kids its bonding time for him i guess, we often do it together its a bit of a family bond, he will always wrap them in a towel and hand them to me to dry and dress though.
some nights he dawldles to the bath (tired from work) but he still does it.

when DD was first born my boyfriend bathed her most of the time, but now she has outgrown the baby bath and is in the big bath it requires more bending. As he works a physical job and has a sore back i have been doing most of the baths now! Once she can sit up in the bath on her own he will probably start doing it more again. I think its great for them to have that one on one time, since i have her all day! Gives us mums a chance to relax for a bit (or do dishes...lol)

Our baby is nearly 1!!!
