***Craft ideas needed using cup cake cases*** Rss

Hi,

I'm looking for some inspiration with using cup cake cases.

I have thought of lady beetles but what else??? Spiders would be fun too but have to think of what else to use to make them apart from pipe cleaners for the legs.

The craft is for 2 year olds.

Any ideas would be GREAT!

Many Thanks.

You could make flowers either with a single case or one inside another stuck to a popstick. Use glitter in the centre if you think it needs it. Or even some cotton balls glued into the centre.

I like the spider idea. You could hang the spiders with a bit of string so that they look like they are on a web.

Perhaps a lion - not sure how exactly except to draw the lion's body on cardboard and stick the 'mane' (cupcake case) to that. might be for the older kids.

Thread them onto string or wool with some cut up straws to make caterpillars. Not sure how long these would last tho!!

hope that helps - have fun

Thanks for those ideas. I love the caterpillar idea. The lion sounds great also. I think I will be the one having the fun!!!

Thanks again. Much appreciated.

An Octopus, cut long thin strips of coloured paper for the tenticles and tape them around a paper cup turned upside down. Stick double sided tape around them again and press on the patty cake case, then stick some eyes on or draw them. decorate the tenticles with stickers or colour in.

an owl...using a brown paper bag for the head, two cupcake cases for eyes, fringed coloured paper for feathers and draw on a beak...

you could also put a hold in the base and use them for threading. So you could make a necklace with them and coloured pasta.

work on some fine motor skills
