Empty Formula Tins

Hi everyone, does anyone have any ideas on what to use finished formula tins for. It's a shame to throw them out. I'm sad I know. I think thats why people call me a horder(sp?)!

donate them to a local preschool or primary school. They come in handy for storage and craft ideas.

I use some to store flour, sugar, oats ect Also handy to store crayons and pencils. Ask your local school if they could use them, My Nan uses one when knitting she has poked a hole in the lid puts ball of wool in and it stops the ball rolling away or the wool getting dirty or tangled. My son has a formula tin for his dinosaurs and my daughter uses one to store her hair accessories and one for make-up stuff. Friends of mine use them as ash trays, also great in the garage to keep nuts and bolts in. And whipper snipper cord same idea as the wool. You could even plant little plants in them

they make good drums for the kiddies to have a wack at

We use ours in the garage. My dp uses them for stuf out there like nuts and bolts and oils and things like that.

We use them in the shed for nuts, tools, paint etc or my friend covers hers with paper and let the kids paint/decorate them and use them to store pencils, toys etc. DS also likes them in the sandpit

my sister's son his on formula and they use his empty tins as ash trays as then u can through them away when they are full just an idea dont no if u smoke but if u someone that does ask them if they want it for a ash tray

You can use them to store cotton balls in as well.

when i make roast potatoes and stuff i re-use the oil and put it in the empty tin!! You girls have some great ideas... i love the one about flour and the pens and crayons!

if you don't want to use them around the house, pre schools love them for collage with the kids. I let my bub play with the scoops in the bath, he tries to catch the water draining form the hole in the bottom. smile

I Turn mine into herb gardens!
