Moving to melbourne Rss

Hi Everyone

My family and i are going to be relocating from NZ to Melbourne hopefully this year.
We have a 4 year old boy and twins who are 16 months.

Anyone else out there that has twins? and can give us some info on areas/schools etc.

Would love to start chatting with people so we can meet when we get there

smile
Hi there!
I don't have twins, but I do live in Melbourne and although I'm biased I think it's awesome here! I have always lived in the outer eastern suburbs and I think it's the perfect location - one hours drive away from the peninsula and beautiful beaches, 20 mins drive to the Yarra valley and gorgeous wineries, 20 mins drive to the city, good access to public transport, great schools (both public and private) and lots of big shopping centers to choose from. Do you have any idea of suburbs that you may move to?

I love it too. I guess it depends if you're buying or renting. I am a Doncaster/templestowe girl born and raised. It pretty expensive now though. Live in Wonga park now. Still close to everything I need, 30 mins on the east link to the city, yarra valley at my doorstep, I like it. Has a rural feel whilst still being close to everything.
Ooh I love Wonga park! We live in Croydon atm but we would love to move to Wonga Park it's so beautiful. I am warrandyte/templestowe born and bred but agree it's pretty expensive. I think Mitcham is a great suburb too. That would b my recommendation anyway. smile

Hi ladies,
Thanks for replying smile
We have been looking at Point Cook, and have been given other areas to look at, nothing is finalised yet so it just depends where my partner is going to be workng i guess. we will def be renting to begin with.
i'm not a fan of living in bushy areas as i dislike spiders! haha.

i've heard melbourne is a fab city. i have been there before when i was younger but dont know a lot about it.

wouldnt know anything about what school is good/bad etc. kindys etc.
or what areas are good/bad.....?

croydon is where my partners aunty and uncle live so we will be staying with them nxt month for a week whilst we suss it out.

Lots of kiwis in point cook, hopper crossing area smile
Plus hoppers crossing has my favourite shop 'Just Kiwi' (great for when Im feeling homesick).
We're in Geelong... So not really Melbourne but close enough to enjoy the benefits of the city but closer to the beaches which we prefer.
LOVE Melbourne! We had only planned on staying 3 years but have been here since 2003!
My lil man is only 2 so can't help much with schooling advice sorry
