Christmas is finished for another year

Just curious as to when everyone else takes down the Christmas tree? The last couple of years I have started taking it down almost the next day as to get ready for the new year but am wondering if I am doing it to early lol

I personally like to have my christmas tree down before the new year. It just doesnt feel right having it up still when it is from last year.

I'll either do mine tonight or tomorrow.

Well in my family it has to come down before the new year or it's bad luck. We took it down today and DS had a ball helping me (finally he was allowed to take the decorations off!) It's been up for 3wks anyway so I didn't see any point keeping it up longer.

I took mine down last night! I had a bit of time so I decided to take it down and put all the decorations away, the house looks very empty now without my massive tree!

Our family tradition is 12 days after Christmas but we did take our Christmas lights down today.

We will be taking ours down on New Years Eve.

In the past I have always done it on 6 January, which is the traditional end of the Christmas season.

This year I'll be doing it earlier. We have four trees (two are only little!) including one in DD's room. She refuses to go to bed unless the tree lights are on, but then it's really too light for her to sleep and bedtimes are a nightmare at the moment.

But I do like to still have the decorations up for New Year, so I think they'll be coming down on 1 January this time.
