We have an exciting announcement to make… Later this week we are going to be launching a new forum! It's going to have lots of awesome features like a new PM system, improved speed, better integration with your Huggies profile, improved ability to track threads and posts, and a quick view of what's popular.
Why are we changing? Well, the existing forum is built using a technology that's a bit outdated now, and it's been pretty hard for our tech team to fix things or add new features. That's why we've had some recurring issues with things like sending PMs. Once we upgrade to the new forum, our team will be able to make improvements much more easily (and faster!) and build cool new stuff for you.
It might take you a day or two to get used to the new layout, but pretty soon it'll become just as familiar as the current forum. To make sure it's user-friendly, we asked 20 of our Huggies Forum Mums to test the new forum on a working site last week. They have taken the new layout for a very thorough road test and helped us make lots of the tweaks necessary to give you guys the functions you love most.
So how will the changeover work?
While we're moving all your posts and profiles across to the new forum, we'll need to switch the existing forum over to read-only mode for about a day. We know this might be a pain for our regular Huggies Mums, but it is something that unfortunately needs to be done. We appreciate your understanding on this and promise to keep this read-only time to an absolute minimum.
Your log-ins will be exactly the same and you won't need to do anything differently to access the new forum. (It will appear in exactly the same place as the current forum, so just log in and start exploring!)
We're really excited about the new forum and we hope you all enjoy using it. If you have any suggestions, comments, complaints or other feedback, we would love to hear them. We'll start a thread in General Discussion where you can all add your thoughts.
