Zest and Rind Rss

zest is the colour bit before you get to the white stuff. Rind is the whole thing.

zest is just the very fine grating of the rind( use a very fine grater or a zester which gives thin strips), rind is the whole skin.Zest has no pith( the white bitter part of the rind)

The other girls have explained it really well but I just wanted to add I love using lemon zest in cooking it gives it such a lovely strong citrus flavour that you don't get using juice alone grin

Sorry Thea didn't mean to ignore you, just didn't see this.
It went REALLY well, my Husband was impressed and praised me well. He said it was delicious and looked incredible. So you can imagine I glowed with pride that I pleased him lol.
