share a tip with me! Rss

Hey

Bobby pins are exxcelent for holding bags closed. Fold the bag over to seal then slip the bobby pin over the end. Food stays fresh. Works great for pasta, rice, chips even flour and sugar.

OOOHHH... INTERNET FIGHT. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? CAPS LOCK ME TOO DEATH?
(Noddy's not fat ffs!)

To keep your linen tidy. Fold up sheet sets or dooma cover sets and place inside the matching pillow case. Keeps them together and neat. smile

I keep diluted dettol in a spray bottle to use for disinfecting - saves on buying those pinoclean wipes.

Thats a fantastic idea!!

If you poach apple or pear for bubs keep the water, cool & dilute a bit more & give it to baby to drink. That way they still get all the nutrients lost while boiling & they might drink more than plain water.

Partially frozen cucumber is great for teething relief.

Tea tree oil in a spray bottle on light mist is great to deoderise carpets/furniture/curtains or pour some in stinky rubbish bins if you don't have a chance to take it out straight away

Coconut oil! If your not already on the bandwagon your missing out! Sooooo many uses for about $7 a jar that lasts ages depending on how you are using it. Uses include skin & hair care, nappy rash cream, treats skin infections, lowers cholesterol, increases milk supply, aids digestion, helps heal cuts & bruises & bee stings... The list goes on & on!

+1. Coconut oil is delicious and is brilliant for making popcorn too!
Do you melt it & pour over the popcorn after its popped like with butter? Will have to try that one

No you cook it in it instead of oil or butter. Apparently its what they use at movie theatres and it certainly smells like movie popcorn! great for the kids!
I think I'm going to have to try coconut oil. I remember reading a big article about it a while back and never got round to it but definitely will now smile

As for a tip.... I don't know that I have any haha.

DH and I use the whole of broccoli and cauliflower, just cut the stalks very finely and they are just as yummy as the florets smile He's a chef and is fanatical about waste lol

Yum! I'm going for a walk to get some popcorn & DVDs for later! smile

I'm afraid my tip is very boring, but I have been fighting with glad wrap for years and got sick of it sticking to itself. So now I keep it in the fridge and it doesn't stick to itself anymore!
