I conceived naturally and had my first baby at 47 Rss

i am 36 and am currently in my 7th week. My mum had me at 36 and my brother at 34 and we are both fine. Although there is a risk of having kids later in life, it is wonderful to read all these lovely stories.
Congratulations smile

I am one of 7 children, my mum had my youngest brother at 45, she never had any problems with pregnancy and births, so just goes to show that there is nothing wrong with being an older mum smile

Congratulations to you and on the birth of little Kyra. a true blessing.
My hope is that one day my older sister experiences being a mum. She is 43 & has had 2 miscarriages by 8 weeks. Also IVF has not worked for her.
I am fortunate to have 3 healthy children. 13 , 8 and 2. I turn 40 this year,

Good on all the older mums out there smile
Wow! Just the topic I need at the moment I've just found out we are having a surprise at Christmas time and I will be 40 by then. This is our 3rd but I did not have my first until 36, second at 37 which is not considered young either BUT I had thought we were done. i have been besiged with worry and I do know there are increased risks BUT I think you often don't hear the positive stories either. Still not sure how I will go with a newborn, just 3 and 4 year olds both in kinder next year, but I'm sure like all mothers everywhere we all do what we need to do for our kids.
wow congratulations. Mothers come in all shapes, sizes and ages and some things are meant to be. I gave birth to my one and only 8 weeks shy of my 44 birthday. He was however IVF, but due to sperm issues.Carolynx

Hey Carolyn, how's everything going with your ds? How old is he now? I used to know you through the ivf thread. Sienna turned 1 nearly a month ago and is going well.
