Strollers for 18kg+ Children Rss

I need to buy a new stroller for my 18kgs n growing son.

I bought The First Years Ignite Stroller whichis rated for a 22.5kg child, but the things that stop the stroller from folding up when walking have become severly bent that when i walk it tries to fold up.

Can anyone reccomend a stroller thats rated for a child over 17kgs and is under $100

Thanks
All the strollers I know of have an 18kg weight limit, best one I had was a steelcraft holiday but is a 17kg limit.

How old is he?

He is 3 years 3 months but has a learning disabiity so its hard to go out and him not run off.

We did have a steelcraft holiday till the brakes on it went and one of the wheels went right down, we had that for 2 years and were still using it when he got over 17kgs
We wore out our holiday stroller too but we got our moneys worth out of it before we did smile For $100 I think that one is the best value, maybe if he fits it (ie heightwise) I'd be tempted to get another even though they say weight limit is 17kg, it would probably be ok to 20 at least.
I recently saw a mum out shopping who may have had a child similar to yours and she had a pram/wheelchair type of thing. Even though her child could walk [i saw them later walking], the boy had some slightly obvious problems with development and I thought what she had was such a good idea. Unsure where you could get one from though and I would presume they would be expensive. Just a thought, maybe you could hire one?
I have a Babylove stroller (the umbrella fold type) that is rated to 20kg. I bought it from K-mart; it cost $69 2 years ago. It also has a really high canopy, which is important if you'll be having an older/taller child in it.

I wish I was a glow worm. A glow worm's never glum ... coz how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out your bum?!

if your son has a learning disability perhaps you could look into a special needs stroller, i know a friend of my mums has a special needs child who is in a stroller still at 9yrs old, its a lot bigger than a normal stroller so im not sure how much it would cost tho, but perhaps you could get some financial assistance from centerlink or something to help with the cost?

i also know of a child i used to care for that had global delays (so he was basically a 12month old mentally but he was 5years old physically) his mum used to push him around in one of those $30 big w strollers. i dont think they have a higher weight limit on them but i guess if they dont last long, at least they arent very expensive to replace.
