hey all i feel like having a bit of a whinge lol sorry
i am sore all over and one of my boobs is so so sore just touching it or brushing my arm up against it hurts like no tomoro anyone know whats up with that????
i have a sore head and feel like crap

last night i had alot of pain in my lower tummy and couldn't move hurt so bad so i tried to put DS in his cot so i could curl up in a ball BUT that didn't work and he woke up so i had to feed him for him to go back to sleep

anyways thanks for reading i'm sore sad sad

That doesn't sound good at all you poor thing! I'd be off to the doctors if the pain doesn't subside, doesn't sound right to me xx

a hot shower should ease the boobs a bit..
other general soreness.. have you thought about going to see a chiropractor? i see one regularly otherwise i wouldnt be able to move! Someone also suggested to me bouncing on a fit ball to move baby to stop the pain (cause baby is very low and uncomforable at times) but i havent tried that yet cause it keeps moving..

When I ovulate t I get really sore in my side maybe it's ovulation pain but I dunno why you got such a headache sweetie maybe it's related to hormones??? If it's still horrible go get checked out you poor thing sad

If you keep getting pain you'll need to see your dr just in case you need a d&c.

Are you breast feeding?? If you are could it possibly be mastitis? Sorry not sure if u are, just throwing the idea out there. Hope it is nothing too bad and u recover fast! Xx

i've had an US since and the woman said it looked clear and no i stopped bleeding about two weeeks ago and thanks smile

Make sure you go back if the pain continues. Mistakes happen and things get missed sometimes.

Not entirely sure how these things work, the whole body and the suprising stuff it does, but a friend of mine miscarried last year whenever and she got pregnant straight away after it. Must have been within a couple weeks or whatever because she found out she was again pregnant a few weeks later. She thought the pregnancy test was the hormones still in her but nope it was a new baby. I'm not sure how that all works really, but somehow she got pregnant straight after the miscarriage.

i haven't had anymore tummy pains since last night i'm just sore all over now and ok sounds like a good ides if it persists

I just wanted to say that when I read your post the first thing that came to my mind was mastitis too(but didn't realise you were breastfeeding). You could have a blockage in there for some reason. Mastitis makes you feel absolutely dreadful and achy, and flu like. Check to see if you have a red mark on your sore boob that could be the giveaway.

must be that then DS is major snack feeder and it would explain while i feel like crap

I think it's caused by a blocked milk duct (which can happen for any number of reasons). You could massage it out (ouch) especially when feeding from that side. The more you feed from the sore boob the better. Try to get your little one to completely empty it as much as possible. You should go to the Dr and get antibiotics (if that's what it is of course) and it will help quickly. You can still feed while on the antibiotics. Also putting a heat bag on it or warm washer, etc will help. So painful! Oh the things we have to go through. You poor thing, that's all you need after what you've just been through. X

For the boob - a cold cabbage leaf will help relieve some pain, but yep you'll need antibiotics. And keep feeding off that boob even though it's sore, make sure bub drains it fully, and if he doesn't express until it is fully empty. Continuing to keep that flow going will help to clear the block. (The block has caused an infection though which is why you need the antibiotics as well.)

Also - get tested for a UTI while you're there.

Abdo pain - some people don't get any symptoms when they get a UTI until it gets bad enough that it causes kidney pain.

The first thing I ever do whenever anyone says abdo pain at work is a wee test.

I would hope that you wouldn't get a UTI and mastitis all in one hit... but you never know. blink

They'll have a look at and a feel of your boob, compare it to the other one that's not sore, check your temp and other obs... ask you a heap of questions and write out a script for antibiotics! (better make sure you pluck the nipple hairs hey!!! LOL tongue)

If untreated it would get more and more excrutiating and you would eventually go septic... meaning the infection would enter your blood stream and affect your whole body - you would be extremely ill and at risk of death! This applies to all untreated infections.

You wouldn't be able to stand it though - you'd be off to a doctor/hospital before it got that bad. I've had scepticaemia before, it is certainly not an experience I ever want to go through again. I dropped my pride in the bin when that happened, never again will it stop me from seeing a doctor!!!!!!

Mastitis was my first thought when I read your OP. Especially if your boob is red. Does it feel hot to touch?

I can so clearly remember how absolutely awful it was, had it 3 times with DS (nearly 7 yrs ago- lol)

Antibiotics were a lifesaver for me, took about 24 hours to kick in.
Have you tried a massage in a warm shower, massaging towards your nipple? The other thing that really helped me was something my midwife said, and that was to try and have your baby's chin pointing the same direction as the sore spot. This helps to drain better.

It was much easier to move a little bub around to weird feeding positions (I was lying on my back, had him lying with his head on my boob and feet on my face)

Anyway get to the doctors, you will feel a million times better!!
