Physio or Chiro?? Rss

I have been suffering from a really sore back for the past week or so and its seems to be getting worse not better. I'm not sure who I should see, a physio or chiro. Does anyone have any advice for me?
I would go to a chiropractor - but realise that they won't be able to do anything for you until you have had x-rays done. (They will give you the form for this)
A physio would just be guessing what the problem is and they might get it wrong!

I've been going to the chiropractor for the past 4 months and it's helped more than just my back pain (which is now non-existent)

Neither. I reckon Osteopaths are better, they almost combine the two in a way. I've seen all types of therapists and had the most success with them smile
I've always found chiropractors more useful short-term. With Physio, they give you different exercises (they did for me anyway) and so a lot of it depended on me as to my progress in overcoming my shoulder pain. I see a chiro for neck and back pain, but always seem to need to go back every so often for a re-check.

I agree with Osteopath thats all i use now and i find them so much gentler then the physio i used to see

Osteopath all the way! I saw a chiropractor for over a year for my back, i barely lasted 4 weeks between visits.

I went to a osteopath, had 3-4 visits and i haven't needed to go back in over a year! He completely rid me of back pain!

DH too, he was told he would always have chronic back pain due to an old sports injury, he usually goes to the osteo for a tune up once every 6-8 months
