I think the Shangri_La is on Denarau, right?

We stayed at the Hilton last year (Denarau). We had a great time but after doing a cruise around all the smaller islands we said if we ever went back we would go to one of the family resort islands like Castaway Island. Denarau is basically just one resort after another and the beach isn't actually that nice (grey sand, nobody seems to swim in it, we didn't even walk along it). The pools etc are all lovely but you will get a resort experience instead of a Fiji island experience. We had our best days when we got our of the resort and did a sightseeing tour of the mountains or a cruise of the other islands.

Fijians are great with kids and there are great babysitting services wherever you stay. They are so friendly, you're sure to have a nice time!

Have fun!
Hi!
I stayed at the Shangri_La in Fiji (it was about 12 years ago now though!) and it was great. Heaps of activites for all ages and there is a great kids club there. Not sure about passports (I think you can get them rushed through in under 4 weeks but I would allow 3 months), and from memory you don't need any shots to go there.
Have fun!

Hi,

We went to Fiji a couple of year ago. We stayed at the Outrigger. Most places have kids clubs but depends on what age your kids are. I think it's if they are under 3 you have to send them with a babysitter or an adult has to stay with them. Babysitters are very cheap.

Fiji is very relaxed expect a very relaxing time. We went from memory for 6 nights and that was really about 1 or 2 night too long.

Passports you can do all forms online and then all you need to do is print them and sign and take to the post office with your photos. I have had to get a few passports and all of them we have received within two weeks of lodging the paperwork. Below is the link to do the passports online.

We did not need to get any vaccines you only need them if you are going bush walking etc or in th forest.

Hope that you have a great holiday. Nice place to go but not much good for shopping but great for relaxing.
