HELP... I think I need a shed!
My little one is only 9 months old and as she is the first, I don't want to sell toys, clothes, books etc because I'll obviously need them for another baby BUT we have SO MUCH stuff! I've got some of those vacuum space saver bags for the clothes and I've kept some boxes for larger toys/baby items but there is still so much stuff lying around the house. Every room is a total disaster zone and the nursery that I so lovingly prepared when I was pregnant is just a mess now sad At the moment we have two spare bedrooms that are current junkyards but I'm thinking of making one into either a playroom or study and the other will be for baby #2 but neither of those rooms have a very big wardrobe and they can't remain junkyards forever! As DD gets older, the toy mess will just get worse! So I'm begging all you huggies mummies to give me some storage ideas!
Skubala!!
I am so hearing you. We live in a two bedroom and our DD has taken over the house. I was getting so frustrated with having crap everywhere that I had to do something about it!
Our dining room has now disappeared. I pushed the dining table up against the wall and turned iot into the toy room. I went to Aldi and purchased 6 fabric storage boxes for $6 each. I placed all her toys inside those and then placed them under the table so she couldn't get under it!
We purchased a massive play mat from ebay that took up the whole of the dining room floor. I them made a huge long material bag with velcro and attached it to the wall. The back of the bag was higher than the front so she could easily access toys she plays with regularly.
It still gets on my nerves with the lack of space we have but i'm trying to make do!
Hope it helps

I feel your pain! We only have a little 2 bedroom house and it just seems like DD's stuff has taken over!! But unlike you, I have a shed, I actually have 2!! So have been putting everything into plastic boxes and storing it all away for bub #2 one day.
I hope you come up with a solution soon! x

ARBONNE - Pure, Safe, Beneficial! PM me for information smile

i'm hearing you loud & clear!! my dd is 2yrs old & we've kept everything too for the next bub, but it is caos. i have all the clothes packed away in bags also & rugs, etc. i have all the baby toys in the box that the highchair came in & that goes neatly under the spare bed, along with the highchair & a few other bits & pieces. but i too still have *** everywhere. now i have the changetable in the laundry & i am using it as stoage. we just got a toddler bed for dd, so now i have the cot to try & store somewhere... i also have a baby swing & bouncer just hanging around here & there, wherever it gets moved to...
luckily though, my little sister is pregnant & i've off loaded some unisex clothes & i'l be able to lend her the changetable, bouncer & this other 380degree seat thingy. that'l give me some space!
i'm always saying that we should have a garage sale, but that would be stupid. then we'd have to buy everything again...

I know where your coming from.
Ds has way too much and we only live in a 2 bedroom house. Our rooms are massive so i can use his room as a toy room too.
Best thing that ever happened for me was my sister had a little boy so i passed on everything of DS's to her and if i want them back when we have another baby i know that i can.
So now my house is looking ok lol.
