Does this do your head in..

Bad spelling.


I'm not talking about the occasional mistake every now and then, I mean when people spell things however they want to- like 'duznt' instead of 'doesn't' arghhhh it does my head in!!!


I know, I know there's more things in life to worry about!! tongue

I don't mind when it's obvious the person has learning problem but when it's to be 'kewl' it bugs me!!!
I hate slang or txt writing, I usually have no idea what that person is trying to say!

Bad spelling is a little annoying, but it's the "on purpose" things that really bother me, like using text language in an e-mail or post.
And people using their, there and they're incorrectly is annoying too!

Luckliy I'm used to deciphering the strangest spelling from my 6 year olds, so most things make sense to me. smile

Me too!! It is so annoying. DP is shocking when texting.. I'm always telling him off and I have to go over everything he writes or types to correct heaps of stuff. He knows he's not spelling it properly too..

Lol laugh I say this everyday.

If they have a learning disability ( Like my DH ) then it wouldn't bother me. They obviously have trouble with it or maybe some people just have trouble altogether, disability or not and you can't really hold that against them.

I just want to cry when people talk LIK DIS CUZ ITS KEWL.

If I can understand what the person is trying to say then it doesn't really bother me.

Some people are not as intelligent as others, I would rather not judge them for mispelling a few words.

As for the text talk, most of the time I can't understand it so I tend to skim over posts that are clearly written that way.

This is exactly what I think too. I'm not going to judge someone and think they have a learning problem due to some spelling mistakes mellow
I am terrible with my theres and theirs and knowing which one is which. It's just one of those things I have never been good at. I'd hate to think people are judging me because of that blink

Just in case I wasnt clear in my OP Im referring to 'text' spelling smile Not at all judging anyone who uses it thats fine- just reading it does my head in! (especially when the word is just as long as the actual word!!) laugh
I'd absolutely never judge anyone on how well they can or cannot spell smile

If i have spelling mistakes in my post it's because i don't wear my glasses & things look funny. I hate wearing my glasses.

Text talk annoys me, i had to look up things that i don't know. My friend text me one night & hubby who can understand it was having trouble.
