had to share... Rss

DS has had baby eczema for about 3 months and it has gotten progressively worse. I don't put anything on his skin or use any washes but I was told by our plunket nurse to try putting a few things on it like emulsifying ointment, cooking oil, sudocrem. They didn't work. Its not bad enough for a steroid cream but it was really bothering him and he was scratching like crazy.

Anyway, popped into our local naturopaths and was recommended chickweed ointment. All it contains is chickweed, olive oil and lavender and I rub it in morning and night. It has cleared up DS's eczema completely in 3 days wub he is a pretty baby again lol

SO happy. he seems so much more content now he isn't scratching all the time.

thats fantastic and pretty amazing glad it helped smile
Thanks for that! DH gets it every now and again because of the harsh chemicals he uses at work but refuses to go see a Dr <img src='http://www.huggies.com.au/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' />

Might have to look next time i'm at the chemist (which is alot these days)!!
thanks for sharing. was it expensive and can you only get it from a natropath?

just want to put this out there. my son had bad eczema from birth and everyone put it down to infantile eczema but he infact had allergies, the worst one being dust mites. ocne i found out i bought a new matress, sheets and pillow and the eczema greatly improved.

When you build a house, every brick counts. When you build a character, every thought counts.

yay! that's great and thanks for letting everyone know. My DD had it really bad over summer but now it's under control however we are having to use cortisone around her mouth and have been doing so for a month now.
