Xmas toy sales!!!
I went to Target today and bought all my neices and nephews Christmas and birthday presents today except some swimmers for some of my neices. Managed to spend under $100 and wanted to get it out of the way now as the thought of trying to brave the Christmas rush in November with a newborn seemed like a terrifying thought.

I'm sure most people know this already but for those who don't I thought I'd mention it - Kmart have a guarantee that anything in the toy sale catalog can be layby'd for Christmas, so no rushing in the first day to make sure you don't miss out, you can go on the last day of the sale & you will still get everything you want.
How does this work? Do you just take the catalogue to the layby counter of something like that? Does this also work for purchasing or just the xmas layby? Sorry for all the q's lol
I don't think there is such thing as too much or not enough. Every family is different and every situation is different. As they grow they begin to understand that if they like the expensive or bigger toys they wont get as many smile One of those things where there is no right or wrong IMO smile
Oh and I've learned to spend what I can afford smile This year we are only laybying the 'big things' that become harder to find toward the end of the year (e.g jeep, cubby etc) it comes to roughly $500 all up (3 kids) and we will buy the smaller things that are always in shops fortnightly or as we have the $. That way we dont push bills aside in Dec to complete laybys (i've been guilty of this in the past)
