just a centrelink question

Hi ladies just a question about the family tax money we get this month do we have to call centrelink and tell them we do not need to lodge a tax return or does the payment go in automatically!? thanks for any help

I'm pretty sure you need to call. But not totally sure. Probably best to ring to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the replys ill call them tomorrow n just let them no im a single pareny do i dont have a partner to lodge a tax return

If you don't need to lodge a tax return there's also a form on the ato website that you may need to complete and send in called a "Non-Lodgement advice 2012". It just tells the ato that you're not doing a tax return because you don't need to. In previous years, when I've asked someone at centrelink if their form was all I had to fill in, they've suggested I complete the ato form as well just to be safe.
