yeah...it had to happen that way. It was a bitch when they kept getting stuck in the sand..... never looked good when they were trying to be scary.....lol

Aussie snakes are nothing by comparison. Eastern Brown snake fangs can't even get through a pair of jeans!

Yeah, i think thats why i was so shocked, last i heard brown snakes just kind of scratched you and you just stayed still until you got help. Here us Aussies are boasting about our snakes and spiders. Pfft. laugh

not sure where you heard that, but the brown is the second most venomous snake in the world... & it's fangs will certainly get thro a pair of jeans..

I heard it at work where I had to do my snake catching certificate so I could run around catching snakes. (wildlife park and the zoo)

I didn't say it wasn't venomous. It can most certainly kill you. With the eastern brown snake their fangs are quite small. If you wear jeans or something with a tough material like the hard yakka pants, they would be hard pressed to get through them.

last death...something like 1954. If you get bitten, you will feel pretty crap but you have about 4 days to get to hospital before you die. allergic reaction, may be sooner. Most at risk -very young and very old. Doesn't sound too bad compared to some of the others around the world.

i find it interesting cause even tho they may be small, if they even just scratch the skin, the venom is so poisonous, you could still be pushing up the daisies.
