You know the drink they have in front of them? The weird one that looks like beer but they don't drink it- they just "cheers" with it? What is it? And why don't they drink it? Lol

I'm assuming there's a backstory but I've missed it!

LOL... its a beer that they tried to make while over there but because of the cold weather it didnt work properly or at all really.. so they cant drink it as it would be harmful so they called it their cheers drink.. so because they cant drink it they just cheer with it lol...
