Adult Acne Rss

I am hoping that some people out there know of a good treatment for adult acne. I am 37 years old and I now have acne that ends up in nasty little sores around my jaw line and chin. I was really lucky as I had hardly no acne as a teenager. I have tried a few different treatments and they seem to work for a few months but then stop working. I have just been doing a bit of research on the net and I can see from 3 different sites that nutragena have products that work quite well.

Does anyone have adult acne? How do yo treat it? What works for you?
Yup I had it terribly, not just on my face. In my late 20's I went on Estelle (now called something different) which is designed for adult acne, and it cleared up in about 8 months, it was amazing! I gained so much more confidence. It came back when I went off it TTC but the pregnancy seemed to balance my hormones out and it's all cleared up.
Wow, I think I should see a doctor. It looks awful and it isn't making me feel very good. Thanks for the tips.
Try fish oil tablets, and drinking more water.
Yeah definitely see a doctor, I recently asked my gp about it as I've suddenly started getting pimples on my back and my face is not as clear as usual and he said there are some treatments that are longer term so I am just trying a cream at the moment and will go back depending how it goes.
Doxycycline antibiotic is the only thing that works for me. I need another dose too sad
They give this antibiotic to soldiers on duty if they need it. It kills all bacteria and is pretty strong!

If you find out its hormonal, you can try spironolactone. It's good for getting rid of jaw line hormonal acne and even excess facial hair (good for PCOS sufferers)

Hope you find something soon, adult acne is just horrible!
