Pregnant or not?

So ladies, I need some advice!! AF is a bit late this month (also have a few preggo symptoms wink), so I did a pregnancy test this morning... It showed up as negative, but by the time I had a shower and got ready for work etc... it was positive.

Could this mean I'm pregnant? I know most of you are probably thinking "Just do another test" wink And I will, I bought one this arvo and will do it in the morning BUT what I want to know is... Has this happened to you and were you pregnant???

I wouldn't trust it if it was after the time frame (10mins I think?). So yeah do another test lol. smile

I found it depended on the type of test - dipsticks I needed to wait ages for the line to come up when testing earlier but the midstream ones either showed a line or didn't. However, did it happen to me? well DD2 I had to wait 10 mins+ (think one was about 20 mins) 3 times for the lines. This pregnancy, the very first test I did was a ebay cheapie and I did it and left it and forgot about it until ages later to find a very faint line, freaked out and raced to the chemist for better ones. If you're line as colour, no matter how faint the pink is it may be a positive. Good luck smile

Yea there was colour! LOL It was a dipstick one (I hate those ones haha) The line wasn't faint lol

But yes I shall be doing a test in the morning... Another question, do you usually test in the morning because the HCG levels are higher or do you test any time of day? I usually do it first thing to be more accurate wink

From what i read (on the side of the packet) its due to the HCG levels being higher in the morning. If you get the more expensive brands they say they can be done at anytime day or night.

LOL It wouldnt be great timing to be pregnant, but there's never a perfect time! And I believe that it will happen when it's supposed to happen. Dh and I stopped using contraception well over 6 months ago and figured if it's meant to be, it's meant to be smile

But if I am my 2 y/o DD is going to be SO EXCITED!!! She is such a wee mum smile

Ooh, how exciting - you most likely would have tested by now, but I'm still going to say good luck!

UPDATE!! So this morning I did another test and after 5 mins I started seeing a line... by looking REALLY closely and squinting and holding up to different lights lol! Then after about 8 mins (the test says to discard after 10 mins, a positive will show between 2-5 mins) the line had got a litlle darker, however still really really faint!!!

So I might be preggo but possibly really early?? Never had this prob with DD, one pee on the stick test 2 days or so after due for AF and it was clear as day! Haha, think I might go buy a more expensive test in the weekend, just to be sure!! wink
