Update on yesterday's lunch time drama.... Rss

So both DD and DH have epic gastro sad

I've spent all day between the 2. DD is doing well now, drinking lots and starting solid food again, DH has been power chucking for 4 hours straight sad

I'm worried about DD. although she is doing better I'm worried about tonight. She is only 12 months old and is very little for her age. If she starts power chucking like her dad should I just take her straight to hospital? I've been giving her lots of water , electrolyte icy poles and she had a bowl of rice for lunch and some toast for dinner. Has managed to keep it down.
it seems like she her gastro started on Friday and DHs today. So does that mean she is more then likely over the worst of it?

Sorry if it's a dumb question. I've never experienced gastro myself so have no idea what to expect or do with either of them (besides keeping up the fluids) lol

I've cleaned entire house, vacuumed, mopped and glen 20ed EVERYTHING so that if it strikes me tonight or tomorrow at least the house is clean smile
Oh yuk. You poor things. I would say your DD is over the worst if it. But if she starts vomiting continuously I would take her to the hospital or doctor.

Good luck and fingers crossed you font get it.

I was going to say the same as the others. If she has been able to keep down the rice and toast then she is on the mend by the sound of it. Just keep fluids up and watch out for dehydration.

I would take her to the hospital if she wasn't eating. Maybe take her to the doctor tomorrow and see what they have to say.
But it sounds like she starting to get better.

Poor little thing, breaks your heart when they are sick.

Yeah I will book into doctors first thing in the morning. Unless she gets sick through the night then I will just take her to the hospital.

It's terrible when they get sick sad she wouldn't let me put her down all day, so I'm feeling exhausted! She just started walking last week, so everytime I did try and put her down she toddled after me so quickly! It was adorable

And I don't want to go to bed yet coz hubby is laying in there :-/ i might kick him out for a few mins and glen 20 the bed!!!

What worries me is that if she vomits during the night and I don't wake up ir hear it? She has only ever vomited twice at home. The first time I was next to her room so heard. But the second time (which was yesterday) I had no idea and slept through my husband waking up and running down to her :-/ both times she just lays face down afterwards. Arghhhhhh. Maybe I will set my alarm to check her through out the night

Thanks for all the replies!
Yeah I have a monitor and still didn't hear it yesterday sad

I've been ridiculously tired the last few weeks so at night I have been drifting into very deep sleeps.

It's ok, if I don't hear my hubby will. Or vice versa. And if I don't feel comfortable when Im about to go to bed I'll bring her in to our room.

Thanks so much for all the advice and support ladies
