I have had two emergency c sections .
And natural birth at 16wks Miscarrage.
I can't have natural Births full term due my bicornuate uterus.
Recovery from c section takes 6 wks.
Natural. Birth so much easier to recover. From
Hope I answered all your questions
Iv had natural (1st dd) and elective c section with the twins.
In all honesty (but this could just be me lol) I prefer natural as your in control etc but c section it's quick your in and out just like that. With recovery I bled ages after natural and prob a week and a bit after c section I actually recovered well after both your meant to do less though after c section.
But word of advice please make sure your completely numb when they go to make the incision I wasn't and omfg it was awfully painful sad
Best of luck with what you choose.

I had an emergency caesarean with DD. I was exhausted and very drugged up due to the 23 hours of labouring before hand. Despite that I actually found the pain and recovery was not too bad. I was up and about the next day and by day two was only taking Panadol and Voltaren for the pain.
I am booked in to have an elective caesarean in 3 weeks time. I have been assured the recovery will be much easier than the emergency c/s recovery. I know a c/s is no walk in the park, but I researched it and thought very hard about it and I really don't believe a VBAC is for me.

Ive had a natural birth & an emergency cs.
The only pro to a cs for me was my girly bits weren't sore after like after a natural. But that doesnt make up for the ammount of discomfort I was in for weeks, not being able to pick up my toddler for a few months, & having to lay down on my back for at least 12 hours after the birth & even after that getting up & walking around was excruciating for me. Everything was a struggle.
The pro's to a natural, I was standing up straight after the birth, I could get up easily to pick up my baby, the birthing pains stopped immediately, I had an appetite.
The cons to a natural, doctors & midwives doing internals, checking out your stitches after the birth (although this didnt bother me as much as I thought it would), discomfort doing number 2's, thats pretty much it for me.

thanks, i had a natural birth in september, and was induced, 6 hours from first painful contraction bubs was born. i had severe bruising and i didn;t dare ask how many stitches. i bled for nearly 7 weeks and was in a heck of a lot of pain, had to have bubs brought to me to feed in bed, i just couldn't get up! my period has since returned and I can only use pads (hopefully not TMI) and the thought of going through this all again - i just don;t know if i could. I'm not saying that a caesarian is easy, just doing my research, so thanks.
