im just about to move back to batemans bay from victoria and am looking for a playgroup/ mothers group or coffee/ social group. the local maternal child health services havnt been very helpful unfortuneately =(

but if i can find something i was thinking of starting my own!! are there any mums (or dads) in the area who'd be interested or know of a group i could join? ill die if dont get the social interaction haha

well ive found a few playgroups in the area for those who want to know:

'connect4families' at cross central church surfside 10-12 thursdays

mundarra preschool playgroup 9-11 fridays

steiner playgroup in malua bay, get the details of steiner Aus website, you need to call them you cant just tern up as size is limited

theres also 'mum2mum' at the anglican church in batehaven, call the comm health nurses for details (i didnt get them as its for little bubs and new mums only)

soooooo, hope that helps a few ppl out.. i think in a couple of months ill still start one in South Durras. ive found there is very little support in the area for PND mums and dads so ill be looking into a creating an open support group for mums with PND. i went to a group when i had PND in VIC and it was fantastic smile

id also love any info about fire twirling groups in the area, i miss my twirling and would love to meet a few ppl and get back into it once bubs born smile love and light

i grew up in bermi smile but the small town gossip got to me toward the end of my teens so off to the big smoke for me lol. i like being near the bay tho, its small enough to be friendly but not too small, but after living in the city for a while its crazy how little support there is availible compared to bigger populations, but still wouldnt trade the bush and beach for anything!!! smile

I'm thinking of putting her into a day care once a week so he can play with other children but I feel bad as I won't be working so it seems silly. But I just think being around me all day everyday isn't goin to be good for when she starts school next wk.

ive been in batemans bay for 2 years. im going to take my son to mundarra on fridays playgroup. term 2 starts 4th may.it would be great to see u there.

that playgoup is really good smile i havnt been for a while tho, its a pretty big group and me kids freaked out a little lol. i go to the thursday one at cross central in surfside i LOVE it its really well run.

its next to the highway going out of town on the right, theres a childcare center called nothside and right next to that is a big 'shed/hall' called cross central church, its in there. its $2 per family per week, starts at 10 until 12, bring your own packed snack/luch for your kids. its not to big (well maybe this week it will be as its the first week back) but its really well run by a lovely lady called 'Jo'. my kids LOVE it smile and the mums are all really welcoming and nice.

i felt the same way at mundarra, it was cool, lots of stuff to play with but was so chaotic! lol
