21 yo mum with a 7 mo DS in the Wollongong area. Would love to chat with other mums that are either young or in the wollongong area.

Also, what sort of support is out there? I got a partner...but he's not really pulling weight as a father 100% so looking for anything to help me and my bub get the best out of life smile

Does your Early Childhood centre run a mothers' group? My one is great! Hit up your Early childhood nurse for support and group ideas.
There are also walking groups for new and expectant Mums -
Tuesdays they leave from Sea Salt Cafe (basically the carpark at Bulli SLSC) at 9.30, Thursdays North Gong Surf Club and/or Port Kembla Beach Lower Car Park (9.30 too).

There are breastfeeding groups you can go along to just for a chat as well:
Fairy Meadow Community Centre (opposite Woolies) Tuesdays 2-3.30; Albion Park Community Health Centre, 119 Tongarra Road Wednesdays 9am - 10.30am; Horsley Community Centre 82 Bong Bong Road Fridays 1130 - 1pm.

Also there are community groups at the local libraries/community centres, and a heap of playgroups if you search the playgroups nsw site.

My daughter (3months) and I are starting "Born to Read" at the library next week - maybe see if you can get into one of them? They run school terms, so all the branches are starting a new lot next week. smile
