Hi Sami, I'm Sam also and in cranbourne smile I'm 25 I moved here about 1 year ago with my fiancé, and I know no one lol I have a 3 month old daughter- Olivia
She is our first.
Do you know what you are having and have you had him/her yet?
Ps I love the name Connor, it is what I had chosen if I was to have a boy smile
hey still waiting for this baby to arrive!! 3days overdue now, grrrr hoping baby makes an apperance soon!
yea ive found making friends hard, esp since im so big at the moment
dont know what this baby is we decided to keep it a surprise but im getting really impatient to find out now, this waiting is killing me!!!
how are you finding cranbourne?? what part are you in, im living in east cranbourne in one of those new subdivisions.
Lol yeah I went 10 days over with Olivia and had to be induced. Not fun at all.. Did you find out with Connor? I couldn't help but find out if we were having a boy or girl, I think with the next one we will keep it a surprise. Are you hoping for a girl this time?
I'm closer to junction village, near the botanic gardens. Yeah it's not too bad, I moved here from emerald, which is about half hour away.. My partner adam knows a few people around here which ive made friends with, but it's not the same.. I started the mothers group on camms rd, a few nice ladies there, but not sure if there any any formed friendships yet.
Is cranbourne east near the hunt club?
hey i went 4dYS OVER, I HAD A BABY boy on the 24th, Brodie, 8lb 5oz at home hes totally adorable!!!
if i have another one we wont find out as its so worth the agony of waiting lol we found out with connor though.
ive thought about going to a mums group but i dont really know where to start, lol. im just looking for people who get what its like to be a mum and someone to chat too as its getting really boring out here lol. i looked on google maps im about 8km away from junction village, i have no idea where the hunt club is though smile
how are you finding being a mum, i love it (most days!!)
dave is making mates through work, but so far i havnt been ble to get out much to try and find friends, i know alot of the workers partners have kids etc, but like you said its not really the same as having your own friends

Congratulations!! That's awesome news!! So it all went well? Did u say that you had him at home? How did that go? Wow 8 pounds I couldn't imagine, Olivia was only 5p14 so tiny, and well overdue.. Did you have him naturally? Any drugs? I love the name Brodie!!
So our bubs are 3 months n 1 day apart smile
I love being a mum, it's hard sometimes when bubba is crying and you have just changed her fed her burped her so u don't know why she is crying but apart from that I love it.. I've just enrolled her into day care. Unfortunately I'm back at work at the end of Jan sad I. So dint wanna go, I'll miss her too much but we are planning on buying a house mid next year so gotta keep the finances coming in..
I'm trying to think where cranbourne east is.. Is it near Evans rd?
thanks yes all went well i had a homebirth through casey hospital, was the best experiance of my life would totally do it again!!! yup natural no drugs birth, had him in the bath after about 3hours of hard labour. wow 5lb she was tiny!!! couldnt imagine that, connor was 7lb 13oz
yea i get what you meN ABOUT THE CRYING IM LUCKY AS I HAVE HAD MY MUM HERE FOR THE PAST 3WEEKS but she leaves to go back to nz on sat so ill be dealing with 2under 2 on my own! aghhh hope it isnt to hard. we moved to aussie to make more $$$ and so i could stay at home with the kids, i miss my friends and fam so much but im so lucky to be able to stay at home with them, i couldnt imagine having to go back to work, will you be full or part time?? i need to look into daycare or something for connor, a couple of afternoons a week or something hes so bored having no friends to play with here so i need to get him some play mates!
na im living off linsell bolovard, and thts off berwick cranbourne road. so other way to evens road!
I'll be going back part time, 3 days a week but only have her in childcare for 1 just till she gets used to the people caring for her. Yeah I'd love to stay home but we are hoping to buy a house soon, our savings have come a halt since I stopped working sad
Ahhh I know where u are now lol the childcare I'm taking her to is near linsell boulevard on narre cranbourne rd, future kids is the place, they are really good my 2 nephews go there, they are 4 and 2 years of age n they love it..
Yeah I know what u mean with ur mum being around, we are living with Adams brothers house in the bungaloo at the back (so small, need to get out lol) but his mum lives in the house she is really good, helps me with any questions or looks after her for a bit so I can have me time smile
I couldn't imagine being somewhere let alone another country from friends and family, it must get really hard sometimes sad
yea we would love to buy a house too but i think that will be couple of years away, i also wana study midwifery but i will be waiting tillmy boys are in school. i will have to check out the childcare as that is nice and close, is it expensive here for childcare??
mmmmmmmmmm me time been a whle since ive had that lol daves on call alot so is out working alot, just got a call he wont be home till tomorrow morning some time sad
being from a different country i hve found it really hard, i saw my family daily so to go from that to nothing has kinda sucked, ive been here since september, and im going a bit crazy with only my 21month old to talk too.lol smile
i meet a great lady from pakenham but with the last few weeks being a bit hectic we hvnt had much of a chance to catch up again.
where will you work? im slowly getting used to the commut times in a city this big, back home a 15min drive took me to another town lol.
Well it's $70 per visit or $300 full time but you get a rebate from centrelink so u get 50% of it back, plus this other thing which means I only have to pay $55 per visit. I'll be going back to work in dandenong south, near pound rd. I was a supervisor there but only returning as a powder coater- too much stress as a supervisor, good money but not worth the stress..
What does your partner do. Gee that would suck. I thought Adam worked alot but he is home every night so I can't complain
gasp
wow that is so expensive!!!! lol
ok maybe i will look into that next year, once ive got a semi routine etc sorted with both kids.
dave works on the power lines, its great $$$ but sometimes the hours suck- but that is mostly when he is on call which is one week out of every 3.
still trying to work out centrelink and all that stuff, i dont really know what im ment to do ive applyed for it but its sooooo different to what we have at home, taking me a bit to get my head around the way the system orks over here!
do you want more kids??
Yeah centrelink is a bit of a stuff around, first time I've dealt with them since I've always worked. Your either on hold for half hour before u speak with someone, or u go in and u wait just as long cos there are so many people.. Lol
Hmmm that's a tough question.. I always wanted 2 kids but after Olivia I'm not so sure. I had a rough labour, being induced, and after 10 hours I was only 2cm dilated so they increased the volume of pitocin ( the drug that induces labour) (I'm sure u already knew that lol) but Olivia's heartbeat dropped off, they tried a few times but bubs was starting to stress so had to have an emergency c-section.. Not fun.. After I had her I said, 1 child is enough... But now time has passed I'm slowly forgetting the labour pains, and recovery pain, Im actually thinking I could go back and try for a boy. Adam really wants another one. I'm still a bit undecided..
What about you? Will you try for a girl??
lol yeah i went in toget stuff photocopied and was there nearly and hour! sorry for the late reply things have been a bit busy my mum left on sat, that really sucked. made me realise how much i want to go back home!!! but i dont think that will happen any time soon sad
but i have two friends iving with us for nw as they have just moved here and are looking for houses etc so its nie to spend time with mates, but at the same time i would love just some family time, me and dave havn had alot of time alone since mum got here, so that sux a bit!!
wow definitly seems like a high stress labour!! i have been very lucky to have the labours that i did. as for me i definitly want another one!!! cant wait, but i think i will make the age gap just a bit bigger, i like th gap i have but it would be better if connor could communicate 100% with what he needs etc, and i feel so bad as brodie takes alot of time feeding and burping etc and connor has always had all of my attention, think hes had a bit of a struggle to learn that he now has to share me!
ahhh well give it 2years and they will be running round creating hvoc!! haha. and yes i would love it if the next baby is a girl, but would be thrilled with another boy (untill they all turn into teenagers and my grocery bill goes through the roof!!!!)
hows your xmas panning/shopping going? ive been so slack lol going to buy a tree and decorations this weekend i think!!
Sorry to cut in girls ... But u guys aren't far from me I'm in Pakenham only 20mins away.... We are currently TTC we r hoping to be pregnant in the next couple of months.
Hi Sami,

How are you going? Just saw your post thought I would say hi kids both sleeping and can't be bothered doing the dishes lol. How are Connor and Brodie?

Congrats Sammi on ur lil one and good luck meegie on ttc

Have a fantastic day ladies
Cheers Tash
Xmas shopping DONE!! smile thankgod.. I put them all on layby and just pay a bit each week it's so much easier.. I hate going shopping around this time of the year so hectic..
Yeah my g/f in emerald has 2 boys one is 6 the other is 2. She said it made it so much easier bec her first was old enough to understand about his little brother and was always by her side helping in any way he could. I think 2 year gap is fine. My mum had us all 2 years apart n there was 4 of us... It would be hard cos Connor still needs attention..
IF I have another one I think I'll keep it at 2 years apart, that way when they are a bit older they are more like friends and have a close bond smile

Hi meegie. That is pretty close smile me n my partner were just looking at the estates in officer.. Prob going to build in cardinia village.. Do u know where that is? Is it a nice area?
Good luck with TTC have you guys been trying for long?

Hey there

Cardinia village is just starting up I think so haven't heard much about it .... It would be an ok area just u would probs be a 10min drive to the main shops in Pakenham , however u do have a supermarket and aldi pretty close... There isn't too many schools or Kinders out there tho, but as long as u have a car all Those things r within 10 min drive.

We haven't been TTC for long, I've been on the pill so we had a scare mid November that I might have been UTD but the blood work came back negative so we were both a bit disappointed and decided that we would start trying. I think whilst we were panicking in november we missed my o day. So we haven't been trying for too long ... Here's hoping this month though. Been a bit of excitement over the past month my DF proposed to me only at the end of November and we have already book a venue when the wedding isn't till 2013 lol i can't believe how fast venues book out !!

Anyways enough bout me what's happening with u?

Hi ladies, we would be up for a catch up in the new year! We aren't going home now just after the new year sad
Sammi how old is Olivia? How has Conner and Olivia been with the Christmas trees? Both Henry and Kaitlin love ours and are there all the time lol.
Meegie how long have you been in pakenham for?
Hey Tash I've been living here on and off for the last 9 years (in Pakenham) I left for a year when I moved out the first time but now I'm living with my DF in pakky again. I love it here and it's great to raise kids lots if Kinders and schools
Hi ladies,
I hope you are well and are getting excited for Christmas and the new year.

Meegie I moved to pakenham in october. I use to live in morwell till I was 8 then spent the next 20 years in Adelaide. I moved to trafalgar last dec for hubby's work but it was such a long drive so we moved to here. It's a pretty nice area and I love the fact big w just opened up. There seems like there are a lot of good schools around..I am hoping to stay in this area and when we buy a house again we will hopefully buy here too.

Sami, it was good to bump in to u at kmart today! how is Connor going with the tree? Brodie is very cute and small you must love the cuddles!! 2 cute boys!!

Have a good night ladies tash
