Returning to work. When is it too early?? Rss

Hi guys. So I have a beautiful daughter Olivia she is 3 months today smile and I'm starting to think when its okay to return to work??
I'm thinking maybe Jan/feb. When she is 5/6 months old. Is that too young? I honestly would rather stay home to be with her but unfortunately bills keep coming in
What do you guys think?
I plan to return to work for 3 days p/week, (childcare 1 day and she will be with grandma for the other 2 days) just so she gets used to the people caring for her until i return full time in April??

Your advice would b helpful. Thanks!!
I went back to work full time when my DD was 6 months which was march this year....... it was really really hard because it was over winter and she got every single bug out and all i wanted to do was stay home with her. Is she now 14- just about 15 months and things are much better.
I think it is really up to you and how you feel and what is right for you and your family.

I return to work when my kids are 6-7 weeks old as I am the main income earner and we can't survive without my income. My DP does then stay home for a few months - bubs is usually around 5 months by the time we are both at work full-time. We only have the kids in part time care though arranging our working hours to their benefit and some help from nana.

Could luck making such a hard decision - but remember it is your choice and you have to feel comfortable with it - it isn't other people's decision and they aren't paying your bills or living your life.

Definitely a personal decision, dont let anybody try and guilt you into staying home longer than you want to! Some people have such a negative view of daycare it really makes me sad. I worked as a teacher in a daycare centre that accepted children from 5 months to 4 years old. The other teachers there were some of the most amazing, caring passionate people I have ever met, they really loved every child in our centre and the quality of care was fantastic. We had a year long waiting list!
In saying that, I would definitely shop around before making a decision, not every centre is like that and having a good relationship with the person caring for your child is super important.
