Bendigo Mums Meet
Would anyone be interested in a Bendigo mums meet sometime? I'm really keen to meet some new people as I haven't met anyone since we moved here a month ago and I know there's a few of us Bendigo mums lerking around this place. If anyone is interested can you suggest somewhere and maybe a day? We are free pretty much any day of the week at the moment.
Hey sounds lovely. Been looking for something social to do.
I'm about 45 minutes away but used to live in Bendigo.
Single mummy to my gorgeous boy Vincent almost 11 weeks old.

Hi, i'm Tash, I have two precious girls who are 13 months and 4 in March. I'll wait until there's a bit more interest and then we'll organise something smile
Hi Tash
Im Claire and i have almost 1 year old twin girls Mia and Lottie.
Would love to catch up. We are just in Axedale but happy to come into town. Lake Weeroona could be a nice spot. Thurs through to Sun suits me but through a catch up on a friday may be a nice way to end a week.
looking forward to meeting some new mum's.
Cheers

Hi there Claire again. Just wondering if either of your bubs were prem at all. Reason i ask is that we are go to a prem support mum's group which is fantastic. Some other great mums to connect with.
Cheers

Where is somewhere we can meet that is accessible by bus or potentially walking distance from Kennington? Our car has died on us and we'll have to get a loan for the repairs so I don't know how long we will be without it.
http://www.bendigofunfactory.com.au/ it's just behind the BP servo, near the Strath Village shopping complex.
Or the Park on the Corner of McIvor Hwy and Crook St, playground, grass, BBQ, toilets etc.
Both accessible by Public transport -
HTH
Crook street park has my vote.
Is a great park

Hey everyone!
I live in Bendigo too! (Right near Crook st park actually!)
I have only been living here a couple of years and would love to meet some mummy friends! I have a 3 & a 1/2yr old boy named Levi and I'm 35wks pregnant with baby number 2 and she's due Feb 22nd! Still trying to decide on a name for her! Anyway i would love to meet up with u all, if that's ok?

Thanks Ricki, how have you been?
Either one of those would be fine for us to get to but we can look at somewhere else if it is too far for everyone else. The Fun Factory is not far away at all and going by google maps the park is nearish the health centre and we've walked down there a couple of times so should be right smile
Hi Tash, I've had better times lol
I have severe PND, which I am working through, and on Boxing Day I broke fibula, right where it makes up the ankle joint, so I've been in a cast, which is frustrating. Other than that, we've been ok.
The kids are good, my last little baby is now 1... they are growing up too fast.
Hope you and your girls are well.
In regards to getting to Crook St Park by public transport,
The No. 14 (Strathdale) Bus gets you almost to the Corner of Crook St and St Aidans Road, (the St Vincent DePaul/St Aidans Rd stop) the park is a short walk from there. You can get that bus from Strath Village
The East Bendigo Bus (No. 9) has a drop off at the park – they call it the Strathdale Community Centre stop
HTH
Tash, if you are talking about the Helen Jensen Centre – where you do measurements, immunization etc, the park in on the other side of the carpark there smile I spent a lot of time hanging around that area when I was a kid (Before the centre was there!lol)
I grew up in Park St, which is literally across the road from that centre. I was married at the Bendigo Club in Park St too, and my Dad actually died at that club, so that area of Bendigo is pretty special to us.

Welcome Kristie!
Sorry to hear things aren't going too well Ricki, let me know if you ever need anything. I can't believe Hudson is already 1, the last year has gone so fast! Looking forward to exploring Bendigo a bit more, we've only been here since the 8th of December and with Christmas and everything we haven't really explored the town yet.
Thanks for the welcome!
I'm sure u'll have a great time exploring the town! I love living here. I've found it very family friendly! Looking forward to the meet up! Hopefully i won't be having the baby on the day u guys choose to meet up! haha Knowing my luck i probably will be! wink
P.s I'm also sorry to read all the things u've had to endure lately Ricki. Hope things get better for u quickly! PND is very hard. I suffered with my son quite badly till he was 6mths and then finally got some help. It took a little while but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm really hoping i don't get it this time around! Fingers crossed!
hey ladies.
I'm still interested. Crook St Park sounds fine to me but I have a car so anywhere works.
have we picked a day yet?
