Lonely single mum
Hi i have a 18 month old daughter, since having her i have lost all my friends. I have never been so lonely in my entire life, every day i sit at home all alone its driving me insane. Would love to know how i go about meeting some new friends, i have tried play groups and a mothers group and neither worked, im starting to think something is wrong with me people just dont seem to like me.

there is nothing wrong with you, us single mums have most important jobs as well as mums with partners do.
do you want my email address so we can talk some more
I spent some time as a single mum but worked things out with the guy so not single anymore but ive had the same experience as u with playgroups & mothers groups. Just dont seem to click with anyone. My partner goes out to work for the day & i just sit at home with the kiddies. Not much of a life huh. Doesnt help when ya dont have a license either (on my to do list)
Apparently its good to go around to lots of playgroups and try them out to see which one fits u best. Easier said than done if u ask me!

Yes, I'm a single mother! That doesn't define me! Just means I'm a strong enough woman to do the work of a mother and father!
hey darl im new to huggies and used to be a single mum so i know the feeling! ive also tried playgroups and found left out in a way as most were married and such so i never really clicked with any adn so many believed the whole single mum stigma that goes with it but feel free to buzz me for a chat or simply add me as a friend
I'm not a single mum, but I am a shy mum, so play groups and mothers groups never really suited me.. my partner goes off to work and I am at home, since having my beautiful little girl I have realised that friends you thought you would have for life don't have time for your new life. I wouldn't change it for quids but it does get lonely, I must admit I would rather be a little lonely and look at our beautiful daughter everyday then have the shallow friends I use to have.. If ever you want to chat I am happy to give my email etc and we can chat away...
