I'm looking to make new friends and meeting up with fellow mums in the Sunnybank, Mount Gravatt and Eight Mile Plains areas.

I am 35 years old, and a new mum to a 9 and half week old boy. I live in the Sunnybank area. Prior to having bub, I guess you could say I was a career woman - LOL. I worked in a management role for a global IT/software company and am currently on maternity leave until the end of the year.

While I am enjoying looking after bub and learning a lot in this new chapter of my life, I am also at the same time craving some adult time! Haha. I guess it would be a good opportunity for me now to make some new friends and interact with other mums in the area.

I've also tried to look for a mothers group or playgroup in the area but haven't seen anything so far - if anyone knows of a group, that would be great if you can provide details smile

Hi There, I live in the other direction at Regents Park. Its just near Browns Plains. Im always keen for a chat and coffee smile I have a 9 month old son. If you are after some mothers groups then you need to check out the community centre at Browns Plains, its in Wineglass Drive. They have some great mothers groups not only for new mums but for all different types of groups. eg, my son was premmie and we go to a premmie group once a week. Its great to be able to relate to ppl going through the same things are you. Im sure there is a group for bubs under 6 months old.

Anyway, I'm 28, and I live in the Mt Gravatt area too. My son is almost 4 months old. I've not gotten into the mothers group thing either yet, although I would be interested in it. I kind of find it hard to just turn up to things like that, but I like the idea of knowing other mothers and babies. I completely get what you mean about needing 'adult' time.

grin Hi there ladies, I have just had my first child (girl) she is 3wks old and I live in Upper Mt Gravatt and have been hoping to get to a mothers group nearby. I am unable to drive for another 3 wks cause of the c-section but am very interested in meeting other mums with bubs and sharing some adult time.

We have managed to get out quite a bit and need to continue getting out to keep my sanity as the last month of my pregnancy I basically could not go out on my own.
