Best areas in Logan?
Hello, we're moving over to Brisbane from New Zealand and was just wanting to know the best family areas in Logan... we have friends in the Hillcrest/Browns Plains area and in Bethania area? We're after a family friendly area with a good school for my 4yr old, we also have a 1 yr old. Any help/advice would be great smile
I was staying at Shailer Park for for a little while and it wasnt a bad area (loganholme, cornibia, daisyhill are surrounding suburbs). I would probally stay clear of Woodridge (or now know as logan central), Kingston, Eagleby, not that I have personal experience but they do tend to have a bad name. I had a friend that lived in a unit in Woodridge and got broke into a few times and weve found dirty needles and stuff in the playground accross the road, so dont want to scare you but i wouldnt suggest that area. Not to sure about Beaudeasert but it seems like a nice area and I have an Auntie that live at Greenback and its quite nice out that way too.
Hi there,
Logan, like all areas has its good and bad areas. I live in Beenleigh - a part that I never knew existed until we moved here 5 years ago (and I've lived here most of my life). There are several new housing estates that are being built in the area and are being designed as family friendly areas. Woodlands (Waterford) is very nice and has parks spotted throughout the estate with a really large one where they often put on concerts, billy cart races, markets etc.
Loganholme, Cornubia, Daisy Hill and surrounding suburbs are great areas too. They are closer to the highway but the noise is not an issue.
Logan is being developed to be more family friendly and to try remove the stigma that certain areas have brought to it.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
