Hi,
I'm in Mackay, well Grasstree Beach but close enough. I'm a SAHM to my 18 month old little boy.
because i'm not motivated enough to go to play groups and the like in mackay (slacko, i know) I've been going to the storytime sessions in sarina on wednesdays. Harry's mum - you might be interested in bringing your little boy?

they start at 10am (usually a bit later coz 9 times outta 10, everyone turns up late). we do a few stories, a craft activity and a bit of a movement activity.

hay my name is cassie and i live in andergrove. i have a 6 mnth old daughter i would love to catch up with other mums.
Hey there, I'm in Mackay too.

I have a 21 month old DD, 7 month old DD and one due in September.

I'm a bit of a slacker at getting to playgroup but reeeeally should change that.

Would certainly be interested in doing something smile Have never been to PCYC....

Cheers

Hello Ladies....

Knock me over with a feather...there's mackay mums on huggies smile

I'm Claire, I'm 24 and live at Marian with My hubby Anthony and 2 boys Robbie 2.7yrs and Dallas 15months.

We moved here 6 months ago from Glenden, Little mining town 2 hours west of here. Its great to be in civilization after 4 years but also a little lonely and isolating, especially being a SAHM. I'm willing to drive for a catch up...I don't care lol I really just want to make some friends. I have tried 3 playgroups and they weren't for me so far, so better luck with a mums group?? Feel free to PM me anyone....Cheers Gals smile
Hi all! I'm Tel - I'm a SAHM to my almost 9 month old son Jakoby. I'm in North Mackay for the time being - possibly moving to Moranbah in the near future but will always be back smile

If anyone wants to chat please feel free to add me to MSN/Facebook.

I have recently moved to Mackay from Wellington 2wks ago and i know absolutely no one here.
I have a gorgeous 8 1/2 month old son and would love to met any other mums and maybe even join a playgroup.
My partner works in the mine so it is going to be quite hard to adjust especailly with none of my friends here.

HI Ladies, My name is Megan and I'm in my late 30's. I am new to Mackay as well and have been here for a month now. I live at Shoal Point with my DH and 2 DD's. We have a 10mnth old and a 3yr old. I would love to meet some Mackay Mummy's and have some adult conversations lol. My husband isn't in the mines but works away most of the time. We are from Country, NSW and it is sooo good living near shopping centers haha and spend a bit of time at the Blue Lagoon. I have been to PCYC once it was ok. People seem to be all in their own little groups. So if anyone wants to make our own little group I'm putting myself out there haha. I use to take DD#1 to a mothers group hall where we lived prior and then we formed our own little group on the off days. It was so lovely going to each others houses and having morning tea and catching up. I do miss them all dearly.

Hi Megan- love your thinking!! Have been in Mackay for a couple of months now but that whole meeting new people thing is very hard and I don't seem to be very good at putting myself out there. I have 2 girls- almost 3 and almost 5. Would love for the 3 of us to meet some new friends up here. If you want to arrange to catch up let me know smile Jen

Hi Everyone,

My name is Kelly and I have 2 boys - 22mths and almost 4. It looks like we will be moving over to Mackay within the next month. We are currently living in Karratha (north west aust) but are originally from Newcastle NSW. We were first asked to move to Moranbah but have negotiated Mackay as a compromise so we are quite excited about getting back to a bit of civilization. We know no one in Mackay so it would be great to meet up with some other mums in Mackay once we arrive.
If anyone is interested let me know.

Kelly
Also, does anyone have any advice of good places to rent in Mackay. I have been advised that places like Blacks Beach, Bucasia, Dolphin Heads etc are great areas - any suggestions?

There is a lot of new housing being built in those areas so it is quite a popular place to live. There is peak hour traffic if you are needing to drive into town during the week.
I grew up in the northern beaches and enjoyed living there however it has changed significantly since then (way more houses and people).

I live near town now and enjoy being close to everything and the added bonus is no peak hour traffic!
Hi, i am moving to mackay in the next couple of weeks from the gold coast. My partner has family in Seaforth where we will stay for a little bit, i would love to meet any mums that are near that way - I have a 4 month old boy. I know Seaforth is a bit out the way so i am happy to drive to meet up with some other mums and bubs! smile
