Hi i'm new to gracemere and in search of a mothers group or am looking at starting one...i have 2 children a 2 1/2 boy and a 8 week girl..would be lovely to hear from other mothers

We meet in Rockhampton though (normally at Crazy Jokers) about once a fortnight. If your interested P.M me and i can give you some more details.

I found this thread by googling "Mothers Group in Gracemere".

I have been living in Gracemere for 15mths and have a 10wk old baby girl, 4yr old boy and 2 school aged girls as well.

I would love to make new friends here as we have no family in the local area at all.

Are you all still meeting up?

My name is Donna, I've got a 2 year old girl and have met some wonderful mums in Gracemere over the last through months (through Bub Hub - as you can see not much of a response on this site). We try to meet at least once a week, sometimes more as a couple of the ladies have partners who work at the mines on various rosters. Also, if you are interested there is a playgroup run on Friday mornings from 9.30 to 11.30. It is at the Community Centre on Barry Street (behind Conaghan Park, Mitre 10). First 2 visits are free to see if you like it, then it is $3/visit. I'll be there tomorrow.

The next playgroup is Friday 3 Feb. It is every Friday (except school holidays). Where do you have your mother's group usually?

Awesome, I went looking and found an answer lol. I am 25 weeks pregnant and live in Gracemere, since I don't drive I was hoping to find a group in Gracemere that I would be able to get to once bub is born. So the Community ones on Friday sound like they could be a great chance to catch up with mums here in town, rather then busing to Rocky all the time. smile thank you to the previous posters.

Sorry it made a double post of what I typed, a quick question though do we take anything to the mum's group on Fridays in Gracemere? Just checking as I would hate to turn up empty handed on my first visit if we are meant to bring something for morning tea or toys etc..

No need to take anything. First two visits are free to see if you like it. Then it is $3/visit/child. You need to bring food/drinks for your bub only. Mums take it in turns doing the activity and providing morning tea. Tea and coffee is provided. Starts 9.30. Look forward to meeting you there!
