Hi Ladies,

I am 24 years old with a 6 month old baby boy living in Southern GC. I am finding it difficult to meet other young mums with babies around the same age. We are basically the first amongst our friends to have a baby so I am looking for someone to catch up for coffee with, go for walks, swap tips etc and give my son some playdates! If anyone is interested, let me know . Or alternatively if you know of any playgroups that cater to mums closer to my age and young babies, that would be great!

I just find alot of the playgroups we go to are full of mothers 35+ and we really don't share many common interests other than the babies! lol

I know what you mean about the playgroups. I tried going for a while about a year ago but found it all to clicky and the mums a bit older than me. I'm just 26 now expecting no.2. However DS is nearly 3 so a bit older than your fella. They do young mum groups I think but I always felt a bit old for them, kinda stuck in the middle lol smile

Oh congrats! When are you due for No.2?? YES! The playgroups are very clicky - I felt so uncomfortable and a little unwelcome. Yeh I googled 'young mums playgroups' but it came back with 16/17 years old etc. They need a '20 somethings' playgroup! lol

So we can chat and arrange to meet up I have made a 'secret' FB group for huggies mums on the GC, if you want to join just let me know. I love Huggies but I don't like arranging meet ups on such a public scale.

We're in Mermaid Waters at the moment, not sure how long term it will be though. We have moved from regional Victoria however we had only lived there for 8 months.
