Capella/Emerald area

Hi

Just wondering if anyone lives in this area.
We will be moving up there in bout 6 weeks as DF works up there and we dont want to be apart any longer.
Whats it like?
Is the things for little kids to do?

It is mainly a mining area, with Emerald pretty much being the "major" centre. There's not a whole lot to do, but they have recently had a new shopping centre open. They would have the usual playgrounds, and maybe a mothers group?

I have lived in emerald for the past 5 years and have now got a 10 week old baby girl. unfortunetly iam leaving for gladstone in a few weeks.

you have community health at the hospital which run a mothers group. also there are about 3 mothers groups on facebook as well. the breasfeeding assoc also has a group. there is the dam which is great for the kids to run around and also have a swim. capella has the big pool which is a great pool with a golf putt putt which is also great. the new shopping centre as just opened which has a big w which is awsome.
