New to Mackay

Hello Ladies

I'm moving to mackay in the next few months to be with my partner. I'm expecting my first baby and am getting worried as I have no friends in Mackay. Does anyone have any suggestions of how/where to meet people so that I can start a bit of a social network.

I live in mackay with my Partner, i have a 5 month old little boy.

most community centres in mackay hold mothers groups, so depending on the suburb that you live in you could ring the community centre near you and ask if they have a mothers group or if they know iof any places that hold them.

I live out at Eimeo, and i am happy to meet up with you for coffee or lunch, if you would like. My partner works away and is only home on weekends so i get abit lonly during the week.

Thanks for the info about the community centres - I will give that a go.
Yes would love to meet up. I'm not moving up to Mackay until July but it would be great to meet up then. We will be living at Blacks Beach so that's pretty close.

I am moving to Mackay in July too! (from NSW) as my husband has been promoted within his company.

I don't know anyone in Mackay either, and also need to make some friends and establish a social network.
I have a 5 year old son and a 4 month old son.

We will be living in Glenella.

When is your bub due? Its such an exciting time isn't it? - I just loved being pregnant!

Would love to meet up in July (i'll be arriving there around the 15th).

I am flying up on Monday with my two boys. My husband is already up there.

I would definately be interested in catching up.

Also, not sure if you have already done this, but you should join a facebook group called "Mackay Mums". There is alot of info on there regarding playgroups and other mum and baby related activities, like exercise groups etc etc.
