Mothers Group in Armadale/Kelmscott WA Rss

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a mothers group in the Armadale/Kelmscott area in WA that I could possibly join? I have recently moved from Sydney to Perth and am keen to join a group to meet other mums and give my 10 month old son a chance to socialise with other babies.

Yes, I have tried the local health centre and anyone else I can think of but haven't had any luck. I've met a few people when I take my son into the clinic to be weighed but no-one seems to be involved in an active group, or aren't interested in new members. I was in a mothers group in Sydney and it was agreat way for our babies to socialise and also share advice and keep each other sane, so I'm keen to make some friends with babies around similar ages. It would be great if you could ask at your group. I'm happy to travel to meet up with people, but am about to start work and will only have Mondays and Fridays free. Any mum's you could hook me up with would be great. Thanks!
Hi luckymum16
Im in Kelmscott and have a 9 month old girl smile
Im always on the look out for mums groups in this area, but having no luck.
I went to a clinic mums group at Maddington and still see a couple of the ladies from there but you can never have too many mummy friends hey (plus I moved away from that area so I dont see them as often - even though its not that far lol).
If you find out any more info, let me know too!!!
Hopefully something can be organised smile
Liz
There aren't any mothers groups (not any "official" ones anyway) in Kelmscott/Armadale, but you might like something like this...

Hi Liz,
Like you I am having no luck finding a mothers group in this area, but I'd be happy to catch up with you and we can start a new group if you're keen. I'm sure there are a few others out there who would be keen to join up once we put the word out. I'm about to start work again and will have every second Monday and every Friday off. Do either of these days suit you? You can email me direct at spdames@gmail.com.
Cheers,
Trish

Hi, I have a 5 and a half month old son and I live in the Armadale area (seville grove). I don't know too many people around here, especially other mums and feel quite lonely. I'd love to meet up with other mums on a regular basis, even for a cuppa.

I've been to the Challis health centre but all the other mums there seem to already have their own friends and don't seem interested in making new ones.

I would love to meet up with you guys if you're keen!

If you PM me on here I'll send you my email address and we can organise something...would love to meet you all.

Well i literally live 10mins from the main shops and can meet anyone in armadale! im keen to meet up with some mums and hear that on wednesdays us mummies can take our bubs to the cinemas and watch movies whilst the light being low and sound turned down so theres a option there! pm me or leave a comment on my wall thingy here and ill reply back to you thanks smile
Hi everyone. Its Been a while since I've logged on and its great to see that there are so many people in the area who are keen to catch up. So... lets get the show on the road and organise a time and place to catch up. I work part time and have every second Monday off. Or theres always the weekend? Send me an email at spdames@gmail.com if your keen and let me know when is good for you. Cheers Trish
Hi all,

Im 23 and I also live in Seville Grove (near Armadale), I have a 9 week old baby girl and am not so keen on the local play group places...

I also have no close friends with babies or young kids, so I should hurry up and meet people - being home most days alone sucks!!!

So if you are all still doing a group ,etc - please let me know smile

Abby
hi all,

there is an indoor playground in kelmscott called "Activiate". children under 1 are free. there is a ball pit, slide, bikes and other activities for all ages, and cafe for mums.

also, in cannivale, there is a play and learn centre called "monkey bars", which is so good. would recommend it to anyone. you stay there with your child for an hour to hour and half(depending on age of child), and you meet other parents, do arts and crafts with your child. there is story time, letter of the week, nunber of the week, and lots more. can't remember the adress, but google "monkey bars perth"

also in gosnells, is a really good program called "tumble tots", which helps promote physical and social development for your child.

swimming lessons, at local pool (Armadale have one) are also great way to meet other parents, then you could go onto creating your own mother's group. hope this helps.
I would also be interested in getting a mothers group together. I have a 9 month old daughter and live in Kelmscott. Please let me know if you organise something?
Hi,
I am new to Armadale and am a single Mum with a 17 month old son.
Was wondering if you all ended up going to or forming any mothers groups? Feeling a bit overwhelmed.
Julia
Hi Julia,

Im not sure of any mothers groups through here. I would be happy to meet up with you sometime if you would like so for a playdate and a chat. My daughter is 11 month old now. Ive also met a few mums through Buggy buddys http://www.buggybuddys.com.au/ Let me know my email is sam79_968@hotmail.com

Hi,
I was just going to post about my own playgroup starting in Gosnells in 2 weeks when I saw this post...

I know Armadale Community Family Centre have Play in the Park which run Mondays - Thursdays 9.30 - 11.30 at Memorial Park in Armadale. Freya and Jo are so lovely and there is plenty for young children to play with.

Have a look at http://www.acfc.org.au/play-in-the-park.html for more info.

Hope that helps?! Hailey smile
I forgot to mention that it is free!
