4D ultrasound Rss

Hi can anyone tell me do they do 4D ultrasounds in Perth and if so where and is it covered by Medicare?
Theres are 2 places that do - The Ultrasound Nursery and First Photo - www.firstphoto.com.au , neither are covered by Medicare as they are non diagnostic and pretty much a your choice to see the baby however it isnt expensive.

Ive only been to First Photo (wayyyy cheaper then the Ultrasound Nursery) even though further away from home and they are wonderful and will see you earlier and later in the pregnancy than the Ultrasound Nursery (who rudely told me I wasnt far along enough the first time so I rang First Photo and went in 3 days later lol).

First Photo also correctly told me gender at 16 weeks (they can from 15 weeks) which was confirmed at 20 weeks at my Anomoly scan (Was also confirmed another 3 times in passing lol twice at my obs appts and once more at First Photo when we went back at 25 weeks).

They do 3D and 4D basically its 3D and the 4D part is it when its in movie form opposed to still shots. I was glad that we've been at 11, 16 and 25 weeks to First Photo as all were clear and we could easily see body parts though was best at 25 weeks when she didnt look so "skeletal" and we plan on going back when my hub is next home at between 35 and 36 weeks for a last one where we hope she will be the nice plump baby like in the pictures of other babies around that age.
Yes there are two places that do these scan is Perth and a couple of mobile services. I had the opposite situation, where I couldn't get a hold of First Photo, and they didn't return my calls.

I did book in with the Ultrasound Nursery at 16 weeks for a Package C (10 minute DVD, CD of Images and an A4 paper with pictures.) This was $100. First Photo did have a cheaper package but this was only for 2 minutes! We were more keen to see the baby than just be rushed through the experience, and 2 minutes was way too short!

We were able to tell the gender of our baby at this time and the lady was very nice, as well as also being a diagnostic sonographer, so she actually is trained to do ultrasound.

There website is www.ultrasoundnursery.com.au and they do have a facebook site as well which shows some really great pictures.

We in all had a very fantastic experience with these guys
Yes, they asked if I had a dating or nuchal scan of which I have had both. I took in my nuchal report and still had a registration to fill in and consent form to sign. On there website they indicated that we needed our 18 -22 week scan to do the longer packages (A and B ), but we were only after the gender so it was all good.
You actualy get a longer time than that in there its just the time of the dvd you get, they take time to find and take good pictures etc in additio.

Yesterday we went for the $150 one again (have been for the $75, $100 and $150 one before) and although the package is for a 10 min dvd we were in there for 25-30 mins and they take the time to make sure you get good photos and can see them smile.
THANKS SO MUCH!!! Managed to get squeezed in at late notice am excited now!! : )
