Our thread has been deleted cos hte mods suck and have deleted heaps of long running threads!!! Cant friggin believe it!
awww! that sux... it was really big too... haven't been on here for awhile cos i didn't have the net but i'm all up n running again now w0ot! how has everyone been? XxX
is this Katie??? yay for having the net again, i would probably die witout it lol smile
Hey, that sucks, I was looking for the thread...
oh well
how are you all?

i reckon!

We all good here. Just got Cohen down for a nap, and Layla is still asleep. I've been cleaning while waiting for DH to get home but i think i might go vacuum

how are you and Sarah??
we're good, I joined the aqua jetty in warnbro and go most every morning. sarah now has swimming lesson there on thursday mornings, she LOVED it, i look forward to her next session.
she still cries when i leave her in creche, but gets all excited when i tell her we're going to creche and hates leaving there, so i'm not too worried.

If its a hot summer, i want to make sure i'm not ashamed to get into bathers this year. I dont want sarah to dip out because i couldnt get off my fat a$$ LOL

How are your xmas plans going?

Kylie

what's aqua jetty?? Ohh good to hear she likes her swimming lessons. Cohen tries to swim off by himself and wont do the activities but im sure as hell not fighting with an 18kg toddler to get him to jump in the pool lol

I havent finished xmas shopping yet. Its been a bit hard with money in the last few weeks!! How about you?
Aqua jetty is the warnbro pool and gym attached to the high school, its really cool, we're both loving it.

Xmas shopping was finished by the beginning of dec.. we didnt celebrate last yr, so this yr i got into it a little early lol, the tree was up by 20th nov smile

Hey everyone =]
Sorry I havent been around, this are still pretty crappy here for me. I'm moving to Rockingham on the 7th of Jan.

Crystal is on medication for her reflux now because shes not gaining wait, wailing when offered bottles for about 10-20mins, refusing bottles and vomitting every feed. She has been on it since Thurs and things seem to have calmed down. Now she just refuses bottles and isnt interested in feeding. She only takes about 100mls 5 times a day. The nurse said that is fine because it takes about 2 wks for the meds to kick in. They have advised us to start solids on the 29th of Dec.

Can't believe our little ones are 3.5 months Denae, it's so crazy.

Crystal holds her head up so well now, and shes always babbling away and shes even worked out how to move around in circles on her back and on her tummy, I have to watch her lol

Hope you are all well

Catie

Hi Catie!

Where abouts in rockingham are you moving to? I love the picture of Crystal, sorry to hear about her reflux, i know how frustrating it is.

Is anyone free to catch up in the afternoons? I'm now heavily booked each morning and tuesday afternoons, but i would love to see you guys (and more importantly your babies)

smile

Kylie

watch out catie she will be one before you no it.

matilda is one next week. boohoo.
im excited yet quiet sad that the past year has gone so fast.
been so busy trying to organize birthday presents christmas presents get the tree up get the christmas decorations up. school activities etcetc.
its never ending at this time of month.
and since matilda started walking properly about a month and a bit ago we havent stopped.
all she wants to do is keep going.

anyway i have to shower and get dressed for work.
oh the joys of life.

afternoons are fine for me smile
mostly monday tuesday and wednesday as ashton is at school thursday and fridays and im usually battiling the shops then.

hi girls!!

catie, ive missed you!!! I havent had credit for so log so i couldnt even text you. How come you are moving to rockingham?

Im free whenever, i usually have appointments and stuff but can usually work around it. I have work on hte 17th though.

Bec, Matilda is so cute and so big now!

Catie, that sucks big time about the reflux but atleast now she is on something. I gave up giving Layla her reflux meds, it was just too hard so i am putting up with the vomiting and the infants friend usually helps with the colic. I hope it settles down for you

xox
I'm moving to coolongup, just south of rocko. Basically where the maccas is on Ennis Ave, I'm kind of a few streets behind the IGA thats on the opposite side of the road. I'm moving there basically coz it's closer to Kevins work, and further away from my family

I dont really care about the vomitting, Ok it is slightly annoying especially when you just got dressed in your last lot of clean clothes to go out and you get vomitted on.

The main thing i was worried about was her screaming when it was feeding time. I had people telling me I was force feeding her and that she doesnt want it rah rah rah and im like "excuse me do YOU go through this battle 4hrly on a daily basis? No? Then shut the fudge up" People were trying to tell me shes not hungry when im like yeah sure shes not, because she has only had about 60mls today and its oh like 2pm, of course shes not hungry. Yeah fudging right.

Ah rant over.

The best thing was when an older lady I have never met before at the mothers group came up to me when I was trying to feed crystal and sat next to me and goes "Does your baby have reflux?" and I almost cried, I was like Finally someone realises I'm not force feeding her.

aww sweets! I know your pain, its so so hard!! Layla gets really bad pains but i found the zantac didnt help the pains and she still vomited so i gave up but she also has colic and the belly pains... omg! she screeeeeams!! She wont lay on her back, so the pram is hard for her... shes on her belly where ever she is. I dont care what people think anymore and ive had so many comments about SIDS and risking her to it

Dont listen to anyone, no one knows your situation or what you have had to go through. Poor thing, some people are just so rude and nosey

oh i know where that is i think! Fair enough you wanting to be closer to kevins work. Travelling is hard!! Is he moving in with you there? smile how's it going apart from the reflux? Shes just gorgeous!!

Oh and my new scent, is spew smell lol thats all i smell like now!! Yummo
Denae I found the same thing with Sarah, sleeping on her stomach was what worked best for us too. And of course I kept extra close eye on her, but that was what worked.

Oh well... Crystals not as bad as Layla in that aspect, She doesnt mind being on her back as long as there are things to entertain her. She does prefer to be sitting up though.

Crystal is the happiest baby until feed time and then she turns into a completely different girl. Between feeds shes squeeling and babbling away and rollling over etc and then feed time she screams the house down.

Yeah Kevin will be moving in with us. It's only a 2x1 but thats big enough for now.

As for afternoons I'm good Mon and Thurs, and Tues and Wed up until 3.30, I cant do friday arvos tho.

Oh I'll be taking Crystal to the aqua jetty as well, that place looks awesome.

Hi girls!

Kylie, thats it... you just keep checking on them! I had someone say to me, the reason why they sleep so well on their bellies is because it puts them into a comatosed (sp) state LOL they wouldnt wake up if that was true!!!!

Catie, is everything ok? You seem a bit down? xx
denae - matilda may look cute but shes a rat bag. most people just say "ohhh shes a big girl for not even one" what the heck is that supposed to mean. but when you put her up against isobel matilda looks heaps older. and they are both the same age.
layla is beautiful too. she has beautiful big eyes. and cohen is getting so big now.

i went back to the shops today. what a nightmare. ive got one more trip to do on saturday and i dont think ill be going again until after christmas. unless i have forgotten something.

catie - i hope you are ok. i too think you sound a bit sad. im glad use found a house. 2x1 is big enough. not much cleaning to do that way.

anyway. i treated myself to hungry jacks. so im off to eat it.

Yeah im alright thanks girls. I'm just not handling things too good atm. Mums doing my head in and i want to go back to work part time but I have no one to look after Crystal..

Oh my car blew up 3wks ago to so now I have a new car and a $6500 debt

Edited coz I cant spell
[Edited on 10/12/2008]

Bec, what the? Matilda isnt even big!!! LOL i thought she was quite little but cos ive only seen her when she was born and then the other day it was a huge difference hehe. She does has a cheeky streak about her though, you can see it in her smile smile

lol everyone comments on her big eyes! they are massive, especially when she widens them up haha

Hope you enjoyed your HJs! yum!!!

Catie, im glad you are ok... have you looked into family daycare or normal daycare? I know she is really little still but you might be able to find a daycare that is good with new babies smile oh no about your car!!! and the debt... eek!! We have lots and lots of debt and no where near enough money so we kinda know how you feel. Always here if you wanna ring me and have a good chat okies xox
Hi
A very close friend has just been rushed to king edward as shes 30wks and it looks as though shes about to have her baby!!
shes lost 200ml of blood and they've already given her the steroids to help with lung development. shes been told she'll have her bundle of joy within a week!
I feel like a di@k head, i'm freaking out. I wish i could do something. I've never had to sit by and hear the news 3rd person..
I dont even know what to do... do i buy her premmie clothes? but will the baby be able to wear them in Nicu which is where i assume it'll be for a while.. and how long will it be there for? can it come home for christmas? i doubt it sad

How do people sit back and relax and wait for news?????????????

She'll be fine Kylie! She's in good hands smile

Your friend might appreciate some premmie clothes but the baby wont be wearing anything but a vest and nappy for a little while yet! A baby that early will stay in hospital until it starts to suck. Sucking reflex is usually developed in a baby around 36-38 weeks so it will be tube fed for a while

Also there's a chance of jaundice and even though it was given steroids the lungs will still be weak.

But premmie babies have a fantastic start in life these days!

Definately wont be home for christmas sad will probably be in hospital anywhere from 1-2 months, maybe a bit more xox
Thanks Denae.

They've managed to stop the bleeding, though they cant figure out where it came from. baby looks great size wise is 1 week ahead which they are very happy with. ATM the moment the plan is to discharge tomorrow as long as there is no more bleeding (otherwise emergency c-sect) and then 100% bed rest, only allowed up to go to the toilet and they hope this way she'll be able to hold off until 35-36wks.

Thank goodness everything is going the best way possible so far.

Thats great news Kylie, fingers crossed bubby stays in for a nother few weeks smile
today my beautiful girl turns one!
HOORAY!!
ill have to update my sig later. when i get a chance.

Thanks!

I do it on photoscape... i can do one for you if you want... its pretty easy tho if you want to give it a go
