I'm in Perth also, and my local child health nurse organised the mother's group. We had a get together once a week for about 6 weeks (from when the bubs were about 4-6 weeks of age), which was at the health centre, with the nurse there, and we had a different topic of discussion every week. Then it was up to us to organise. We went to each others houses or to parks. Now, my eldest is 3 1/2 and she still plays with these kids every Thursday. You should ask your local nurse. Very valuable in my opinion, especially in those early days, when you need people around you who understand and can be a sympathetic ear. Good luck
